Hello 4C Church

As many may be aware, the ACT and Federal Government have made changes in their response to the management of COVID-19. From 30 September, the ACT Government relaxed requirements for the community, further details can be found via the link https://www.covid19.act.gov.au/news-articles/covid-19-changes-from-30-september-2022

The Church Council and COVID-19 team have reviewed the requirements and have determined the following:

*Facemasks - wearing of facemasks at church and during service will be at the discretion of each individual and their own circumstance.

Facemasks will continue to be made available, should you require them.

*Cleaning - we encourage the continuation of cleaning pre and post-service / activities. Cleaning products will continue to be made available.

*General Health - we encourage all congregants to continue to utilise the hand sanitisers provided around the church and if presenting any symptoms, please remain at home and join the services online.

The Church Council would like to thank you for your continued patience and understanding in the COVID-19 pandemic. We ask that you continue to pray and support your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.

Note. The Church will be holding the Annual General Meeting on the 23rd and 30th of October at 12pm in both halls. Social distancing and large gatherings will be unavoidable, and as such the Church would encourage facemasks to be worn at these events.

Following the ACT Government announcement, wearing masks at church will no longer be mandatory from 6pm Friday 25 February.

However, we encourage everyone to please continue to wear a mask where possible while inside the church building.

Dear Church,

Following the announcement yesterday by the ACT government of the removal of indoor density limits, the church will also begin to implement an easing of capacity limits for Sunday services.

Individual congregations will advise further on their specific arrangements which may include some continued precautionary measures or limits for a period of time to avoid the risk of overcrowding.

We continue to encourage everyone to make their own assessment of the risks and join in person or online as they feel most appropriate to their situation.

All church attendees should continue to wear masks indoors except for the Sunday Service team when they are speaking on stage. Current cleaning practices will remain as will the Church COVID Safety Plan. Checking in via the Check In CBR App is no longer required.

Please speak with your Pastor or Deacon team if you have any questions and please continue to pray for the church as we adapt to the changing circumstances.

God Bless

Dear Church,

Following a review of the current situation, the Church Council has decided that all congregations will continue with online-only services for the next three Sundays.

The church premise will not be available for use up to and including 12 February except for preparing and broadcasting services. We also advise fellowship groups to avoid large in-person gatherings outside of church and to consider the use of virtual meetings.

In-person services will recommence from Sunday 13 February. Services will also continue to be streamed online. As the COVID situation is likely to continue to evolve, we urge our congregation members, including those on serving teams, to make a careful assessment of their own situation and risks, and to join in person when they judge it appropriate to do so.

The Church premise will be open for use by fellowships from 13 February onward. Fellowships should continue to use the online booking form and follow check-in, space limits, distancing, and cleaning protocols. We ask fellowships to avoid sharing meals at Church for now.
Masks should be worn at all times when at church – except Sunday service persons where they are speaking. If you attend the church premise and test positive for COVID, please inform one of our deacons or Pastors as soon as possible so we can respond accordingly, as we may not receive this information from ACT health.

In arriving at this approach, the Church Council recognizes our mission to minister to our community and the importance of in-person services and fellowships to many. This is balanced with the desire to support our community during the current peak COVID period by reducing transmission risk and further strains to our community health and testing systems.

The Church Council will continue to monitor the situation and provide further updates as needed.

In Christ,
Church Council

Hi Church

With the recent lockdown easing by the ACT Government regarding COVID-19, we would like to provide an update:
• Sunday services will continue to be online;
• The church building will continue to be closed; and,
• Fellowships to continue as online or where possible gatherings at home (at the discretion of the homeowner and following guidelines).

This decision to remain closed was not made lightly, as we need to consider the safety of our church family and we ask for your understanding in this matter. We will however continue to be reviewing the restrictions and be providing an update after the next phase of restrictions (29 October 2021 ACT COVID Pathway) is announced.

Otherwise, if you have any concerns or questions, please speak to one of our Pastors or Deacons.

God Bless.
