Christian Science Church, Canberra Christian Science is a system of religious thought derived from the Bible and Mary Baker Eddy's writings. Healing, Love and spirituality are central ideas.

WHAT IS CHRISTIAN SCIENCE? The heart of Christian Science is Love. It's about feeling and understanding God's goodness. It's based on the Bible and is explained in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures and other writings by Mary Baker Eddy. It shows the practicality of better understanding God, Christ Jesus, goodness, life, sacrament, salvation, and more. Anyone can find God to be "a very present help in trouble" (Ps. 46:1). CHURCH SERVICES

Church services are held from 10-11am on Sunday mornings. The Bible and the Christian Science Textbook, Science and Health, comprise the sermon. The sermon encourages members to think deeply about healing and spiritual growth. Each week has a theme, including topics such as "Love", "Soul and Body" and "Probation After Death." We welcome seekers of Truth from any background, and encourage anyone to come along

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Sunday School is from 10:00 – 11:00 in the building next to the church. Sunday School welcomes children and young adults up to the age of 20.In small discussion groups, participants explore the application of spiritual principles in daily life and individual spiritual growth. The curriculum is based on the Bible, with Mary Baker Eddy’s book, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures used to shed light on biblical teachings. Students are encouraged to ask questions and to discover how to put into practice the concepts they learn. Very young children, while incorporated into the Sunday School, are cared for in our play room. TESTIMONY MEETING

Wednesday testimony meetings are 6:00 – 7:00 pm. These meetings are similar to Sunday services, but the scriptural selections are customised to the needs of the congregation and occasion. You’ll also hear fellow attendees share insights, experiences, and healings they've had as a result of their prayers and study of Christian Science.

This simple meme carries a deeply scriptural truth. It speaks of “people,” but Scripture calls them “your neighbor”—meaning everyone, without exception. The hurt, the broken, the lost, and the lonely are not categories to judge but reminders of our shared condition.
Yes, we may need to challenge or even resist the hard-heartedness of the rich and powerful. Yet even here, love of enemies has its place. A quiet prayer that they might hear Jesus’ question—“Do you want to be healed?”—can open the smallest crack in the heart, just as it did for St Paul, once among the worst of sinners.
So leave no one outside the circle. We are all in this together, called to stand against the darkness of the world and for the love that makes us whole.
