Happy New Year 2018!
Sharing some readings from Sunday’s service. What a great list of choices for the new year.
Choosing to put on;
Tenderness, kindness humility, meekness, long suffering, bearing with one another
Forgiving one another
Love
Faith+Love as heart protection
Hope of salvation as head protection
Choosing to let;
The peace of God rule in your heart
The word of Christ dwell in you richly
Choosing action;
Teaching one another - singing with grace
Giving thanks whatever you do
Comfort and edify each other just as you are doing.
Thanks to all for everything they share with each of us.
Colossians 3:12-17
Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.
But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
1 Thessalonians 5:8-11
But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.
Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.
