This week, we’ve been reminded that walking in dominion isn’t just about what we say on Sunday. It is about how we live every day.

We’ve learned to:

🔥 Guard our bodies and honour God with our lives.

🔥 Refuse to surrender to heaviness and discouragement.

🔥 Choose joy and praise even in difficult seasons.

🔥 Stand on God’s Word.

🔥 Engage the power of prayer.

🔥 Understand the biblical place of anointing with oil.

🔥 Trust God as the ultimate source of healing, deliverance, protection and restoration.

“Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.” — James 5:14

And there’s more to learn.

GOD CAN BREAK THE YOKE

Some battles feel bigger than us.

Some burdens have been carried for so long that we’ve almost accepted them as normal.

But Scripture reminds us that God has the power to break yokes and set people free.

“And the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.” — Isaiah 10:27

Jesus came proclaiming liberty to the captives and setting the oppressed free.

Whatever you’re facing, don’t lose hope.

You may not know exactly how God will bring you through, but you can trust that He is still God, and He is still at work.

Keep praying.
Keep believing.
Keep standing on His Word.

There is freedom in Christ.

THERE IS POWER IN PRAYER

The Bible gives us a beautiful picture of the church caring for those who are sick.

James says that when someone is sick, they should call for the elders of the church, who will pray and anoint the person with oil in the name of the Lord.

“And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up…” — James 5:15

The oil itself isn’t the source of healing. God is.

The anointing is a biblical point of contact, while our faith remains in the One who heals, restores and delivers.

So never underestimate the power of prayer.

Pray for yourself.
Pray for your family.
Pray for those who are sick.
Pray for those who are discouraged.

And where medical care is needed, seek it. Faith and wisdom can walk together.

Jesus is still our healer and our hope.

THERE IS HELP FOR THE WEARY

Have you ever had one of those days when you just don’t feel like doing anything?

No energy.
No excitement.
No motivation.
Just… heaviness.

You’re not strange for feeling that way. Life can be demanding.

But God’s Word gives us another way to respond.

“Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.” — Philippians 4:4

Joy doesn’t mean pretending everything is perfect. It means choosing to keep your confidence in God even when life isn’t perfect.

And tonight, we gather again.

MIDWEEK SERVICE — 7:00 PM

Come and recharge in God’s presence. Come hear His Word. Come worship. Come fellowship.

And please, don’t come alone. Invite someone who may need encouragement, prayer, or simply a place to breathe and reconnect with God.

GUARD WHAT GOD GAVE YOU

Your body matters to God.

Scripture doesn’t treat our bodies as something insignificant. We are called to honour God with them because our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit.

“Flee fornication… your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost.” — 1 Corinthians 6:18–19

That means we shouldn’t casually expose ourselves to things that destroy our physical, emotional or spiritual wellbeing.

Sometimes walking in dominion simply begins with making better choices.

Who are you allowing into your space?
What are you feeding your mind?
What habits are you entertaining?
What choices are slowly taking control?

Don’t wait until something becomes a stronghold before you decide to walk away.

Guard your body. Guard your mind. Honour God with your life.

Sometimes, the things weighing us down aren’t always visible.

You can smile, go to work, attend church, talk to people, and still be carrying heaviness on the inside.

But God doesn’t want His children to live permanently under the weight of discouragement, mourning and a broken spirit.

The Bible says:

“To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion… the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.” — Isaiah 61:3

There is something powerful about choosing praise even when you don’t feel like it.

Today, don’t allow heaviness to have the final word.

Pray.
Praise.
Talk to God.
Surround yourself with the right people.
Keep feeding your heart with His Word.

Your difficult season is not your permanent address.

God can replace heaviness with joy and give you strength to keep moving.

This week we’ve been reminded of some powerful truths:

➡️ Jesus Christ still heals and delivers today.

➡️ Faith is not passive—we engage our faith in God and His Word.

➡️ God’s Word gives us strength and direction.

➡️ Our confidence is not in ourselves. Our confidence is in Jesus.

“He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” — Psalm 107:20

Tomorrow is another opportunity to gather as God’s people, worship together and receive His Word.

Invite your family. Call that friend you’ve been meaning to invite. Bring someone along.

Come expectant. Come ready to worship. Come ready to hear from God.
