CANBERRA MEN’S CONVENTION 🫡
This year SBC was honoured to host the annual men’s convention, bringing together men hungry for the teaching of the Lord and discipleship from fellow believers. Husbands, fathers, sons - all benefitted greatly from the sessions!

🤍GOOD FRIDAY✝️

A beautiful day at the woolshed remembering the earth-shattering, life-changing, history-rewriting event that was the death of Jesus Christ on the cross.

Prophesied for centuries, fulfilled to every dot and tittle. He was the King and Saviour who came as a servant who chose to suffer for our souls.

Dying on the cross, he cried out the first line of Psalm 22, instantly recognisable to any Jew within hearing distance - “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

But let’s take a moment to read to the end of the prophetic psalm:

“Posterity will serve him;
Future generations will be told about the Lord.
They will proclaim his righteousness,
declaring to a people yet unborn:
HE. HAS. DONE. IT.”

Good Friday, indeed.

🍂GO DAY AUTUMN🍂
Some great stories shared by just a few of our Go Day team today!

⚡️What is Go Day?
Once a term, SBCers assemble for outreach in the community, inviting people to church, having meaningful discussions with those interested about faith, existence, good and evil, and the Gospel.

⚡️I would be way too nervous to do that! Is it for everyone?
No special experience or personality required! It is always an exercise in dependence on God - but that’s never a bad thing :) (and it definitely gets easier the more you do it)

⚡️How can I support your outreach?
Number 1 way is to come along! There’s lots of opportunities to serve apart from chatting. You can serve morning tea at the food stall, or pray before or during the event on the day. You never know what God can do through a small act of faithfulness!

⚡️Do you offer training?
Yes we provide a training session before heading out if new people have signed up - so just make sure you register and request it :)

Today’s Go Day led to encounters from people of all beliefs: atheists, agnostics, Muslims, pagans/witches, former Catholics. Here are some awesome accounts to follow of evangelists laying the path before us in sharing the Good News - give them a follow!

Firm Foundations going strong 💪🏼 every week before church at 9am, we run different courses for anyone seeking to gain deeper knowledge of the faith and of the Word.

We are in the middle of our series, Old Testament Overview. If you’ve always wanted to go to Bible college without going to Bible college, this is for you! 😃

At the same time, we are running our Connect Course for those seeking to join our church as partners. We praise God that there was so much interest we have had to open up 2 different groups!

Pray that this ministry would bring us closer in unity to one another and to the Lord Jesus. 🙏🏻
