This week at BoB, we looked at the topic of transformation through the life of Balaam.
Balaam heard God clearly… but still looked for another answer.
How often do we do the same?
God speaks — but we keep searching until we find something that suits us.
Balaam knew God’s will, yet chose his own path — driven by money, pride, and status.
It led to deception, destruction, and ultimately, a wasted life.

Real transformation is evidenced by:
▪️A changed response (led by the Spirit, not opportunity)
▪️A guarded heart (free from pride, fear, and compromise)
▪️Visible fruit (obedience, not just knowledge)

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind.” — Romans 12:2

☑️️Stay planted in His Word.
☑️Stay aligned with His Spirit.
☑️And let your life bear fruit.

This week at BoB, we reflected on DART:
Debt. Atonement. Reverence. Thankfulness.
Debt – Sin is serious. From Ananias and Sapphira to Uzzah, Lot’s wife, Scripture reminds us that sin is not something to take lightly. Even our words—anger, insults, and careless speech—matter before God.

Atonement – Our debt was great, but it has been paid. Just as Aaron entered the holy place with strict requirements and sacrifices, Easter reminds us about the ultimate atonement through Jesus. What we could never do ourselves, He has done for us.

Reverence – God is not a genie in a bottle. He is holy, just, and worthy of deep respect. Our faith calls us to trust Him fully and live with reverence, not casual familiarity.

Thankfulness – Gratitude is the posture that keeps our hearts aligned. Even in trials, God is shaping us. Never forget what He has saved you from. Don’t become complacent.

- What can you do to guard against complacency?
- How will you remember what the Lord has done for you?

✨ Finding Rest When You’re Weary ✨
We’ve all been there—feeling like the tank is on empty and the road ahead is a little too steep. In our latest gathering, we dove deep into what it means to be tired and how God meets us in that exhaustion.
📖 The Word for the Week
When we are tired, He renews us and carries us. We are never alone in our fatigue.
• Matthew 11:28: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
• 2 Corinthians 12:9: "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."
👣 Even the Greats Got Tired
We looked at the lives of those who came before us and realized that "tiredness" isn't a failure—it's a season.
• Elijah felt so exhausted he wanted to give up, but God sent renewal rather than rebuke.
• Moses was overwhelmed by the weight of leadership, so God provided Aaron to share the load.
• David found strength in the Lord even when his home was ravaged.
• Job showed us that even in extreme suffering, God remains our help.
❓ Why the Season of Tiredness?
Sometimes God allows these moments to:
1. Teach us dependence on Him.
2. Force us to slow down.
3. Shape our character.
4. Prepare us for what’s coming next.
💡 What Can You Do Today?
If you're feeling the weight of the world, try these five things:
• Rest your body: Remember, the Sabbath is a command for your refreshment!
• Be honest: Talk to God openly about how you feel.
• One step at a time: You don't have to figure out the whole year today.
• Reach out: Talk to someone you trust.
• Fuel your mind: Fill your thoughts with hope and scripture.
Let’s keep praying for one another.

This week we focused on a question many people face in difficult seasons: “What do you do when you don’t know what to do?”
A few powerful reminders were shared:
• Seek God first rather than relying on our own understanding.
• Trust His timing. Noah worked on the ark for nearly 100 years before the rain came.
• Be still and let the Lord fight your battles (Exodus 14:14).
• Sometimes the issue isn’t that God is silent, but that we are too busy or too noisy to hear Him.
• When facing uncertainty, remember what God has already done, because His past faithfulness is a reminder of His faithfulness today.

When the way forward isn’t clear, the call is simple: seek Him, trust Him and wait on Him.

Join us on Wednesdays (except for the last week of the month) from 7:15pm at 17 Walder St, Belconnen

The Lord is our strength, and His Spirit lives within us. He gives us the endurance we need to face suffering and trials. Often, it’s in our weakest moments that God shows up the most—reminding us that His strength is made perfect in our weakness.

But many times we fill our hearts with things that are not from God. We try to push through life in our own strength instead of relying on Him. Over time, little compromises creep in—“it’s just a small thing”—and slowly our hearts become cluttered. Before we realise it, we have no room left for prayer or for God’s voice.

It’s not that we told God “no”… we just said “yes” to everything else.

Sometimes we need to pause, empty the drawer of our hearts, and honestly look at what needs to stay and what needs to go. God calls us to throw off the things that weigh us down and make room for Him again.

“Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles…” — Hebrews 12:1
“Create in me a clean heart, O God.” — Psalm 51:10

Tonight at BoB we talked about living your best life.
The disciples were out fishing when Jesus performed a miracle in their catch. Then He said, “Come follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
In that moment, they forsook all and followed Him — because God had a call and a purpose for their lives.

Following Jesus is a daily choice.
As Luke 9:23 says: “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”

When our focus is only on the worldly good, we become ineffective in our Christian walk.
But when we desire to know the Lord and do His will, we step into the life He intended for us.

Remember: this world is not our home — we’re just passing through.

If you feel ineffective in your Christian
walk do these:
➡️ Come back to Him
➡️ Have a heart of gratitude for all He has done
➡️ Commit to pursue Him daily

That’s where your best life is found — in following Jesus every day.

“Call to Me and I will show you great and mighty things.” — Jeremiah 33:3

7 Truths About Prayer:
1️⃣ God hears every prayer — Even when you're rushing, anxious, or distant.
2️⃣ The righteous are always heard — Choose to walk in His ways.
3️⃣ God answers in His perfect timing — Not ours.
4️⃣ "Wait" is still an answer.
5️⃣ Prayer changes YOU — That’s the greatest miracle.
6️⃣ God’s answers are for your good — Even when it's not what you expected.
7️⃣ Don’t wait for the next crisis — Stay faithful. Be a person of prayer daily.

Prayer isn’t just about changing your situation — it transforms your heart. Keep praying. Keep trusting. Keep growing.

This week at BoB we looked into the topic of Weariness. Life’s constant demands, distractions, and pressures drain us — not just physically, but spiritually too. We chase after a multitude of things in a world that’s passing away, and it leaves us empty.

But God calls us to a better way.
Don’t lose sight of the kingdom of God — our eternal hope.
We need to choose rest. For our body and our soul.
That means saying no to endless distractions, breaking the cycle of busyness, and making space to be still with Him.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

Tonight we covered the topic "Earthly Reasoning vs Godly Justification"

Romans 7:15-20 shows the struggle between wanting to do good and falling into sin.

Scripture never justifies sin — no excuse, emotion, or blame makes it right.

People often use emotions or blame others to ease guilt, but the wages of sin is death.

Steps to Overcome Temptation:

1. Flee — Remove yourself from the situation.

2. Identify and rebuke the spirit causing the struggle.

3. Pray and thank God in advance for the victory.

Repeat these steps until you overcome.
It’s a choice: Freedom in Christ or slavery to sin

Tonight we looked into the life of Samson: A Story of Consecration, Compromise & Comeback.

Samson had a divine calling and was set apart from birth to be a mighty warrior for God. But over time, he traded consecration for compromise — driven by lust, pride and poor choices.

Samson did what was right in his own eyes. He ignored his calling, dishonored his parents and broke every part of his Nazerite vow. He lacked guardrails, wise counsel and humility.
Through his journey into sin, he lost his sight, his strength, and ultimately — his relationship with God.

In his lowest moment, he cried out: “O Lord God, remember me…” (Judges 16:28).
God restored him and his final act brings great deliverance to his people.

Be disciplined. Stay consecrated. Return to your first love.
God can redeem and still use you — no matter how far you've fallen
