The Croatian Heritage Foundation is organizing its traditional programs again this year, which include learning the Croatian language and culture, as well as the volunteer program Eco Heritage Task Force. Below are the details of the programs, available in both Croatian and English. Additionally, attached are brief descriptions of the programs, which you are welcome to share on social media. Following are the programs:
a) University School of Croatian Language and Culture (for participants aged 17+)
For many years, the University of Zagreb and the Croatian Heritage Foundation have jointly organized the University School, which this year will take place from June 23 to July 17, 2026, in Zagreb. The school is intended for youth of Croatian descent and all other students who wish to get to know Croatia, gain or expand their knowledge about it, and learn or improve their Croatian language skills.

b) Little School of Croatian Language and Culture (for participants aged 9–14)
The Little School has been held since 1993 and includes language and creative workshops, as well as sports and recreational activities aimed at mastering the Croatian language and getting to know other aspects of Croatian identity. This year, it will take place from July 20 to July 31, 2026.

c) Croatian Online Course HiT-1
HiT-1 is the first university-level beginner e-course of Croatian as a foreign language in Croatia, organized by the University of Zagreb, the Croatian Heritage Foundation, and the University Computing Centre Srce (Heart). The course is held in the spring and autumn semesters.

d) Eco Heritage Task Force is a volunteer program in which young people from both Croatia and the diaspora have been working since 1992 to preserve the environment, restore neglected parts of Croatia’s natural and cultural heritage. The program also includes workshops on the Croatian language, media culture, culinary workshops, and joint excursions. This year’s program will take place in Gospić in collaboration with the Lika-Senj County from August 3 to August 16, 2026.
