We were thinking and talking about prayer at the world cup this week. Turns out, so was Max Jeganathan!

"Spanish football manager Luis de la Fuente has publicly stated that his prayers are not for on-field results but are a 'habit of constant gratitude.'"

Do you think prayer in sport matters? Why?

We might have just witnessed the most prayerful World Cup in history.

Players praying individually. Whole teams praying before and after games. Argentina's kit manager setting up a prayer altar in the dressing room. Spain's coach praying every single day.

The easy assumption is that they were all praying to win. But look closer and that doesn't hold up.

The Democratic Republic of Congo knelt to pray as a team after losing to England. German players prayed with their opponents, win or lose.

So what's actually going on? Read the 5-min article by Max Jeganathan 👇
