Camira Mosque follows local moonsighting. We will hold Ed al-Adha salah as follow:

Date: Thursday, 28 May 2026
Takbeer Time: 7:00am
Salah Time: 7:30am

If it does not rain, we will have the salah outdoor. So please bring warm clothings. Sisters welcome.

Today, Friday, 20 March 2026, the crescent of Shawwal has been sighted in Sydney. Therefore, 1st of Shawwal will fall on Saturday, 21 March 2026.

Camira Mosque will hold Eid al-Fitr salah on:

Eid al-Fitr 1447

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Camira Mosque committee strictly follows local moonsighting to detemine Eid al-Fitr. Therefore, we will wait for moonsighting efforts around Australia on Friday, 20 March 2026 at maghrib time.

If the crescent is sighted, then we will perform Eid salah on Saturday, 21 March 2026. If not, we will perform Eid salah on Sunday, 22 March 2026.

We will post the announcement here tonight after the moonsighting has been completed.

Start of Ramadhan

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Camira Mosque follows local moonsighting to determine the start of Ramadhan.

Based on local moonsighting, 1st of Ramadhan 1447 in Australia, falls on Friday, 20 February 2026.

So we will start taraweeh on Thursday, 19 February 2026 evening.

For 1-20 Ramadhan, we will start Isha prayer at 8pm and then followed by Taraweeh 11 rakaat (no khatam). Female space is available.
