Camira Mosque follows local moonsighting to determine Eid ul-Adha. Therefore, we will hold Eid ul-Adha shalat on Tuesday, 18th of June 2024.

7:00 AM - Takbeer
7:30 AM - Shalat

Please bring your own mat and warm clothes as we will hold the shalat outdoor.

Eid ul-Fitr 1445H / 2024

Hilal has NOT been sighted anywhere in Australia. Based on this, 1st of Shawwal (Eid ul-Fitr) falls on Thursday, 11 April 2024.

Therefore, Camira Mosque will hold Eid ul-Fitr shalat on Thursday, 11 April 2024.

Times for Eid ul-Fitr in Camira Mosque:

7:00am - Takbeer
7:30am - Shalat Eid ul-Fitr

Please bring mat and jacket as we will pray outdoor.

Based on local moonsighting, Eid Al-Adha (10 Dhulhijjah) falls on Thursday, 29 June 2023. Camira Mosque schedule for Eid prayer is:

7:30am - Takbeer
8:00am - Eid Shalat and Khutba

Please wear warm clothes and bring prayer mats, as we will pray outdoor.

The hilal has been sighted tonight (Friday, 21 April 2023) in various part of Australia. Therefore, tomorrow morning we will perform Ied Prayer.

RAMADHAN 2023/1444H

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Moon has not been sighted anywhere in Australia. Therefore, 1 Ramadhan 1444H falls on Friday, 24 March 2023. And we will start tarawih tomorrow night, Thursday, 23 March 2023.

In Camira Mosque, on the first 20 nights of Ramadhan, athan Isha will be at 7:15 PM, then +10 minutes iqama, then followed by tarawih.

RAMADHAN 2023 (1444 H)

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Camira Mosque committee follows local (i.e. Australia) moonsighting to determine the start of Islamic month.

The moonsighting for the start of Ramadhan 2023/1444 H will be done at Maghrib time on 29th of Sha'ban 1444H, which falls on Wednesday, 22 March 2023. We will post the result as soon as the moon is sighted anywhere in Australia or after Perth moonset time, which is around 9:00 PM Brisbane time.

If crescent moon is sighted anywhere in Australia, then 1st of Ramadhan will fall on Thursday, 23 March 2023, and we will start performing Tarawih on Wednesday night.

If crescent moon is NOT sighted anywhere in Australia, then 1st of Ramadhan will fall on Friday, 24 March 2023, and we will start performing Tarawih on Thursday night.

Edit:
1. On the first 20 days of Ramadhan, Isha athan will be at 7:15 PM (iqama is +10 minutes), followed by Tarawih. On the last 10 days of Ramadhan, Isha athan will be at 8:00 PM.
2. We will only pray Tarawih 10 rakaat and 1 witr and will not do khatam.
