This Sunday, we welcome a guest speaker from our nations capital, Canberra ACT.
Jason Potter is a seasoned leader, author, pastor, and educator with a lifelong passion for helping people grow. His leadership journey began early — at just 17, he was elected to the board of Belconnen Church of Christ in Canberra. Two years later, he moved to Tasmania to serve with Fusion Australia, and by the age of 20 he had stepped into his first pastoral role as the youth minister at Knoxfield Church of Christ in Melbourne.

Over the years, Jason has pastored local churches, served in national and international ministry leadership, and pioneered an innovative church‑based education model now used by Bible colleges across Australia.

Jason lives in Canberra with his wife, Rachelle, and their four teenage children. He’s also a committed Collingwood supporter — and hopes you won’t hold that against him.

Stephen Downie, founder of Redeemer Ministries, is a passionate humanitarian committed to rescuing families trapped in modern-day slavery within Pakistan’s brick kiln industry. His calling began five years ago after witnessing the devastating conditions firsthand — generations of families living without freedom, education, or healthcare.

Redeemer Ministries works to restore dignity to these communities through education, medical care, and empowerment programs. The ministry has established 52 Christian schools, operates four mobile medical vans, and runs a Women’s Empowerment Program that equips women with literacy and sewing skills. Through the Redeemer Care initiative, children living in extreme poverty receive education, healthcare, and hope for a better future.
