A huge thank you to everyone who supported Fr Josh's Vinnies CEO Sleepout fundraising effort this year. Together, we raised more than $13,000 to help combat homelessness in our region. Thanks to your generosity, Fr Josh finished 5th overall on the Sunshine Coast fundraising leaderboard. But even better than that (and yes, Fr Josh is very competitive!), the Caloundra Catholic Community Teamβ€”made up of principals and senior leaders from Our Lady of the Rosary Primary School and Notre Dame Collegeβ€”finished as Runner-Up Team for the Sunshine Coast event!

Most importantly, every dollar raised will help provide practical support and hope for people experiencing homelessness and hardship. For those wondering how the night went, Fr Josh reports that it was a reasonably mild nightβ€”but sleeping on sand is surprisingly similar to sleeping on concrete... and somehow the sand manages to get everywhere!

Thank you once again for your generosity, encouragement and support.

A reminder that ENCOUNTER NIGHT takes place tomorrow evening, Friday June 19.

Join us at Unity Chapel for an evening of worship, testimony, Eucharistic Adoration, and prayer as we gather in the presence of the Lord.

Youth activities begin at 6pm, adults are welcome from 6:15pm for drinks and nibbles, and the evening begins in the chapel at 7pm.

What an extraordinary evening as 53 of our young parishioners received the Sacrament of Confirmation recently! With a beautifully decorated church, a prayerful liturgy, and the support of family, friends, sponsors and three priests, The Holy Spirit was most definitely at work within this joyful celebration.

Congratulations to all our candidates and their families. While this marks another milestone, we pray it is only the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith with Jesus and his Church. May the habits formed along the way: prayer, Mass, openness to the Holy Spirit, and living God's love in the world always grow deeper within you.
