Thank you, Cairns Barrier Reef Lions Club! ❤️🦁

Our community store, the pantry & the wardrobe, received approximately four trolley loads of pantry staples and hygiene products, collected through a food drive at Redlynch Shopping Centre.

The Cairns Barrier Reef Lions Club shared that they have been running these food drives since March, collecting donations for a range of community organisations. We are honoured that the pantry & the wardrobe has been chosen as one of the recipients.

The generosity of our community never ceases to amaze us. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the food drive and helped us support locals doing it tough. ❤️🫶

Today, 15 April 2026, is Youth Homelessness Matters Day. Why is it important to acknowledge this day?

Because right now, too many young people are being pushed to the edge.

When home isn’t safe, when rent is unaffordable, when support falls away — young people feel it first, and hardest. The pressure is growing, and the consequences don’t wait until adulthood.

This is happening now, in our communities. And without urgent, practical support, the impacts can last a lifetime.

Youth homelessness needs action — early, local and grounded in care.

Together, we can create change.
Educate: share messages and content.
Activate: Host or attend events.
Donate: Support youth homelessness services.
