Today in our evening service we held a special vigil for all those impacted by the devastating mudslides and flooding in Nepal and Tibet. We lit candles for those who have lost their lives, those who have lost family members and loved ones, their homes and livelihoods. We lit a candle for the first responders, all those who are helping in any way with the impact of the event.
We ask you to join us in sending love, light, prayers and compassion to all those affected in anyway. Together we can make a difference.

Today at the Abbey Church, we celebrated Thanksgiving Sunday when we took the opportunity to Thank God for all the many blessing we receive each day. All attendees were invited to write on a small card what we are especially grateful for. These cards were collected and will stay on the altar until next year.
It was a wonderful reminder of the importance of taking time to reach out to someone who has enriched your life and say a heartfelt Thank You.
