Caboolture Jummah Prayer Jummah khutbah and prayer performed weekly at the Caboolture Neighbourhood centre on Fridays from 12.30pm. Khutbah in English and Arabic.

Seperate women's area provided.

Our apologies for anyone who was planning to attend the Friday prayer at Caboolture neighbourhood centre today. We will be cancelling today as our Imam is sick.

A reminder for Friday prayer at the Caboolture neighbourhood centre at 12.30pm insha Allah tomorrow.

Please we request you bring your own prayer mat as we expect to have a few extra people attending tomorrow and we have very limited prayer rugs to go around.

Insha Allah next week we will have more prayer mats available but in the mean time it would be much appreciated if you could bring your own.

Today's khutbah discussed the importance of remembering Allah's blessings on us and being grateful.

Allah, Glory be to Him said "Were you able to count the blessings of Allah you would never be able to encompass them" (14:34). They are endless. However we focus on the few things we don't have and fail to see all the wonderful things we do have.

We should ask for Allah's forgiveness and be grateful for all the blessings we have been given that we fail to remember on a daily basis.

The khutbah also discussed the importance of avoiding negative thoughts and in particular suspicion as Allah said "Believers, avoid being excessively suspicious, for some suspicion is a sin" (49:12). We should think good of others and avoid negative assumptions about others.

The importance of keeping close with good friends, so as to be pushed towards good deeds was also discussed. Avoiding sins is easier when surrounded by the company of people who are engaged in good deeds and avoid such behaviours leading to sin.

A final point made was that we must be confident in who we are and our beliefs as a Muslim. We should not doubt ourselves.
