Each year we host one guided retreat here at Hartzer Park, and it really is something special. ✝️✨

This August, Fr. Chris McPhee MSC will be leading a week of guided prayer, silence, and reflection under the theme 'Life is a Journey' — exploring healing, freedom, and spiritual growth through God's love.

If you've ever felt the pull to slow down, step away from the noise, and just... be still for a while, this is that opportunity. A full week, fully catered, in a place that was made for exactly this kind of rest. 🙏

The Retreat Details -
Date: 21–28 August 2026
Cost: $950 per person (fully catered). A $200 deposit secures your place

This National Reconciliation Week, we're proud to stand alongside our OLSH Sisters as they reflect on over 100 years of walking with First Nations peoples.
This year's theme ‘All In’ is a call for all of us to step up and share in the work of reconciliation. We invite you to watch this beautiful reflection shared by our Provincial Leader Philippa, and to carry this spirit of listening, dignity, and hope into your week and beyond 🖤💛❤️

✨ Feast of the Ascension ✨

As we celebrate the Feast of the Ascension this Sunday, the Gospel reminds us that even the eleven disciples experienced doubt, uncertainty, and fear. Yet, in the midst of their uncertainty, Jesus reassured them with these powerful words: “I am with you always, until the end of time.”

Once again, we encounter the outpouring of the Heart of God — a Heart that remains close to us, reassuring, comforting, and loving us, even amid our own doubts and fears. The Ascension is not a story of Jesus abandoning his disciples, but rather a moment of promise and hope. Jesus strengthens them with the assurance of his enduring presence and love.

The Ascension is more than Jesus ascending into Heaven; it is a story of hope.

As Pope Leo XIV reminds us, “Hope is knowing that God is near, and that love will always win.” In a world where fear can often overshadow hope, we are reassured that God remains near to us. We are invited to hold firmly to the promise of Jesus: “I am with you always, until the end of time.”

May we be strengthened by the reminder that God’s love never leaves us, and that hope, always, has the final word. 💙

“My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, my spirit rejoices in God my saviour.” Luke 1:46-47 ✝️

May is the Month of Mary — a time the Church has set aside for centuries to honour her quiet faith, her courage, and her wholehearted yes to God.

Whether you mark this month with a rosary, a simple prayer, or just a moment of stillness — we hope it brings you peace and joy. 💚🙏
