It is with both sadness and joy that I share the passing of Roy Simonds who for a while attended our Moore Park Beach Church. Roy is now in the presence of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and will be missed by many in the Bundaberg community. Roy and his beautiful wife Muriel were also longtime friends of our church in Svensson Heights and actively supported our mission outreach.

For those wanting to attend, Roy’s funeral service will be held to be at Branyan Gardens at 10:30am on Thursday the 30th of April. May you rest well Roy.

The Clothes Basket is a local mission outreach that our church has been doing for almost 4 years now. It has been both a blessing and a pleasure to become such a strong part of many families and getting to know each one of you on a way more personal level than just running a charity store. There is so much that goes into having a 4 hour, one day per month outreach for the gospel, and behind every open day is at least 25 volunteers, Bundaberg Neighbourhood Watch Area 27 team running the sausage sizzle to raise funds to keep our suburbs safer, much prayer, and of course the food and fellowship that happens 2 mornings every week. It takes 3 days to set up and pack down and the Bundaberg Church of the Nazarene appreciates every person and every single minute they give. And there is also food! Much food. Our volunteers supply their own and share with each other on sorting days and Riverside Pizza feeds us all on opens day. Thank you all for the opportunity to love you and share a simple inoffensive gospel with our beloved community. Bless ya, Pastor K.
