So what have I learnt?
God wants us in relationship with them and with each other, to really know someone's heart we need to look into the heart, we need to ask where is your heart, what do you believe, how do you express that?
We need to search for, and reveal, the Christ in us all.

This isn't about the pharisees, the pharisees in this telling represent all of humanity as we continue to squabble over details and miss the main event.
Some of us on this side some on that side, what gets lost is the miracle itself and that miracle is Christ Jesus.

John 4. 5 - 42 (a long read)..our relationship with Christ is an internal matter to be discussed in private with our God, "But, when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you." (Matt 6.6)
The outward signs of this inner relationship are in our relationships with each other, love, compassion and justice for all is the Kingdom on Earth.
