Yesterday, at our Aboriginal Sunday Service Common Grace, we drew these hearts as a simple sign of love and solidarity with our Aboriginal brothers and sisters.

Today, on this day of mourning, invasion, and survival for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, we pause with reverence.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land, the Wurrunjuri peoples, on which we gather and honour their faithful care of this land since time immemorial.

We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging.

With humility and hope, we commit ourselves to walking together listening with open hearts, seeking healing and justice, and nurturing relationships grounded in love, friendship, and mutual respect.

May we continue to journey toward a future that is safe, free, and flourishing for all πŸƒπŸ’š

It was great to demonstrate a Renew Wellbeing space at church on Sunday: a quiet shared space where it's OK not to be OK.

We were grateful to connect with Ruth on our trip to the UK and share her wellbeing vision with our church community.

We're hoping to set up a permanent weekday space in the near future so stay tuned!

Today we read about Jesus cleansing the temple, where he stands up to those who would abuse their power against the poor and marginalised (John 2.13-22).

Lent encourages us to pick up our cross and follow Jesus into difficult places, to stand in the gap between oppressors and the oppressed.

We reflected on this through the stories of 2 heroic women: Sister Ann Roza Tu Hawng, the Catholic nun who stood between police and protesters in Myanmar this week; and Emmeline Pankhurst, the suffragette who fought for women's right to vote.

As we journey to the cross this year we continue to pray deeply with the people of Myanmar.
