“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” (Genesis 1:27)

What does it mean to be human?
If you ask the 8.3 billion humans living today, you may well get 8.3 billion different answers.

Considerable angst and confusion surround this fundamental question, because the answer gets to the heart of who we are, what we are, and why we’re here in this world.

More recently, our approach to this question is to look inward within ourselves.
But the Christian gospel directs us to look upward to God, our Creator and Saviour.

And God’s answer is this: to be human means to be “made in His own image.”

Join us for this series as we explore what God has to say in the gospel of Jesus about what it means to be in his image, and we’ll see how this impacts our lives as we wrestle with the big issues of our day.

We are continuing on our Matthew series.

By Matthew 13, the crowds are growing and the opposition is hardening. Rather than retreating, Jesus does something unexpected – he begins to speak in parables, hiding the secrets of the Kingdom in plain sight. Those with eyes to see and ears to hear will understand; those whose hearts are closed will not. In Matthew 13–16 we see this dynamic on full display as Jesus reveals The Kingdom Hidden and Revealed.

The resurrection is not just the happy ending to the story of Jesus – it is the truth that holds the whole Christian faith together. On Easter Sunday, we’ll see why Paul insists that if Christ has not been raised, we are left in a terrible mess: still in sin, without hope, and with nothing solid to stand on. But because Christ has been raised, everything is different. Our labour is not in vain, our future is secure, and our hope is alive.

Come explore the true meaning of Easter and how the gospel is ever relevant. Easter Sunday family friendly services at 9am and 11am, for all ages with a special kids segment and activity packs for the young ones.

The church in Corinth was full of division, pride, confusion, and compromise. Yet before Paul answers their many issues, he takes them to the cross. This Good Friday, we begin our series in 1 Corinthians by seeing how Christ crucified is not merely the starting point of the Christian life, but the power and wisdom of God that reshapes every part of it. As Paul will show, the cross does not sit at the edge of our faith – it stands at the centre.
