Wishart Community Church is a community-oriented church on the corner of Wishart & Ham Roads in Wishart, a suburb in the south of Brisbane in Australia. We are a member church of the Christian Reformed Churches of Australia. We are united by our true faith in Jesus Christ as Lord, thankfully serving each other with special gifts received from the Holy Spirit, joyfully worshipping and praising God.

We proclaim His pure Word, teaching His way, confessing our sins, offering prayers and gifts, and purely administering and celebrating sacraments. We practise church discipline with love and grace, and celebrate and nourish our new life in Christ holding Jesus Christ as our only Head. He stays with us in the Holy Spirit, thrusting us into local and worldwide mission.

🌿 Playgroup is Back for Term 2! 🌿

We’re so thankful for a wonderful Term 1 of playgroup! It was such a joy to see so many mums, carers, and little ones come along each fortnight building friendships, enjoying playtime, and sharing in storytime together 💛

We’re excited to continue playgroup this term and would love to welcome both familiar and new faces!

9:30am – 11:00am

Wishart Community Church

Each session includes:
✨ Storytime (with a short Bible story)
✨ Messy play & fun activities
✨ Toys and free play
✨ Morning tea for mums and children

We’ll continue to include baby-friendly play, so everyone is welcome from babies to preschoolers

🌈 Community Playgroup – Term 1 🌈

We’re excited to be running our free community playgroup again this term at Wishart Community Church!
It’s a relaxed, welcoming space for mums, dads, carers, and little ones to connect and enjoy time together.

🗓 Dates (Thursdays – fortnightly):
• 5 February
• 19 February
• 5 March
• 19 March
• 2 April

⏰ Time: 9:30am – 11:00am
📍 Location: Wishart Community Church

✨ What to expect:
• Messy play, art, and free play
• Baby-friendly activities for our littlest ones
• A short story time
• Tea, coffee, and morning tea provided
• A warm, supportive environment to build friendships

What a beautiful year it was at Playgroup in 2025

Last year was such an encouraging and successful year, and we are so thankful for all the families from our local community who joined us.

It was a joy to see the children gathering together, listening to Bible stories, and taking part in activities connected to the stories throughout the year. Watching them learn, create, play, and grow was truly a blessing.

We hope you enjoy looking through some of the photos from 2025 below. Thank you to everyone who helped make Playgroup such a special space for our little ones and their families

🌍 A Beautiful Celebration of Cultures at Wishart Community Church! 🍲

As part of our 45th church anniversary celebrations, we took time to thank God for the amazing diversity within our church family. What a blessing it is to have so many members from different cultural backgrounds, all united in Christ! 💛

Everyone brought a dish from their own culture, and the result was an incredible feast, a joyful reminder of how God brings people from every nation and background together as one body. 🙏

Thank you to everyone who cooked, shared, and celebrated with us. Our table was full, our hearts were fuller, and our church family continues to reflect the beautiful unity we have in Jesus. ❤️

Last month, we celebrated 45 years of Wishart Community Church. What a beautiful milestone! We’re so thankful for where God has brought us as a church family and for His faithfulness through every season. 💛

Join us on Saturday, 13 September 2025, from 9:00am – 3:00pm at Wishart Community Church for a day of equipping and encouragement.

We’re excited to welcome Murray Capill as our keynote speaker, bringing insights from his book “The Elder-Led Church”. This will be a valuable time for men from any church (and anyone interested in learning more about biblical eldership).
