Liz from the Liturgy Office I’m the devil in the detail, the Missale Romanum editio typica secunda they told you to fear…

Clerk of Works Position: the parish is seeking a suitably qualified handyman – ideally on a voluntary (non-stipendiary) basis - to assist with maintenance tasks in the parish. Responsibilities are
as follows:
• Oversee the condition of all buildings, plant and equipment held by the parish
• Conduct minor repairs such as changing lightbulbs, tap washers, fixing broken items
• Evaluate the needs for significant repair and larger projects
• Report the same to the Parish Priest, and
• Contact appropriate tradesmen to conduct plumbing, electrical, carpentry work etc.
The Clerk should be willing to develop an understanding of the liturgical requirements of the parish, so that works do not conflict with the liturgical programme. He should also be on hand to deal directly with tradesmen on site. Anyone interested is invited to contact the Secretary ([email protected], or 9532 7922).

A young and thriving congregation based in Australia have asked me to make an advertisement for vocations!

As you can see, the Josephite Sisters are booming and full of life. Come and see what a childlike faith looks like in the service of God’s holy people.

Archdiocese of Brisbane thanks for posting the beautiful reflection from Sister. 🥰

Just remember: diocesan hermits can still use social media and enjoy fine dining. The evangelical counsels don’t apply to them. 😇

Bishop Pat Mullan has decreed, in light of the new motu proprio, that all Masses in the diocese celebrated according to any missal prior to the reforms of 1969 will cease henceforth.

Existing chaplaincies and personal parishes are abolished. Fr Jim RainbowStole will be celebrating an additional Mass in Esperanto at Blessed Stanley Rother parish for those attached to the older rituals.

On an unrelated note, please donate prayerfully to the abuse lawsuit fund, the Diocese would not be able to pay off settlements without your generous contributions.

Our dearly departed sister Susan was ahead of her time. Now all clergy, conservative or otherwise, use Purell in the Holy Mass!

Truly, a prophet, I tell you!! Move over Humanae vitae!

What sort of a world are we creating for the future generations when we allow Tridentine frippery and dress ups in lace, but where a man can have his life's work taken away from him because of some trumped-up charges!?
