Evangelisation Brisbane is actively committed to upholding the dignity of all human life by providing and facilitating spaces that are emotionally, physically, and spiritually safe in our work of supporting parishes and communities in the Archdiocese. We commit to maintaining policies and practices that promote a culture that values strong safeguarding principles and present a sense of sanctuary for the vulnerable. As an organisation, we commit to listening, walking alongside, and sharing the appropriate avenues for support for those who make disclosures of personal sensitive information.

Last week our team had the joy of serving as MCs at the Australian Catholic Migrant & Refugee Office (ACMRO) National Conference in Sydney, celebrating the incredible gifts migrants and refugees bring to the life of the Church.

Church leaders and communities from across the country came together to celebrate all we can learn from migrant communities as we grow into a more synodal Church.

Cardinal Baggio’s words were particularly powerful, reaffirming that every person is created in the image of God and that as Catholics we are called to advocate for the dignity and humanity of migrants.

Archdiocesan Ministries is proud to walk alongside the cultural communities that make up the heart of the Archdiocese of Brisbane, and grateful for the faith, leadership and rich traditions migrant communities bring to us.

We were blessed recently to welcome participants from parishes and communities across the Archdiocese of Brisbane, all gathering with one shared purpose - to explore and prepare for Alpha, a welcoming space where people can explore life's big questions and faith in a relaxed, no-pressure environment.

For some, this was their very first introduction to Alpha, discovering how it creates a fun and open space for genuine conversation, connection and exploration of faith. For others, it was a chance to refresh their knowledge and reconnect with the heart of what Alpha offers to our parishes and communities.

We hold great anticipation as Alpha prepares to launch in local contexts throughout our archdiocese, bringing people together to journey through faith, community, and belonging.

Every formation team stepping into this mission has our support and we are here to walk alongside you. Whether you're just starting out or continuing the journey, we are ready to encourage you every step of the way in your evangelisation efforts.

Together, we look forward to seeing mission flourish in communities near and far with one conversation, one connection and one faith story at a time.

What a great couple of days! We joined bishops, evangelisation directors and youth ministers from across the country for Evangelise 2026: Youth Ministry and Synodality, and we’re still buzzing.

With so much joy in the room and honest listening (not to mentioned deep conversations and prayer!) we left feeling encouraged, energised and so grateful to be doing this work together.

A big thank you to the National Centre for Evangelisation for hosting the event and to Catholic Youth Australia for letting us use some of their pictures.

Our vision is a Church that authentically reflects the person of Jesus Christ, and our mission is to work with, inspire and empower the Archdiocese of Brisbane to encounter Jesus and live the joy of the Gospel.

From Formation to Leadership, Children and Families to Inclusion, we’ve got teams working with parishes and communities across the archdiocese to support all people to live out their faith.

Whatever that looks like for you and your parish or community, we’d love to help. Feel free to message us on Facebook or Instagram or get in touch with us at archdiocesanministries.org.au/contact-us/

Today was a rich and vibrant celebration of the diversity of the Archdiocese of Brisbane as hundreds gathered for the annual Multicultural Mass at the Queen of Vietnamese Martyrs Church in Inala.

Thank you to all who made today possible, and who so generously shared their faith, culture and food!

Look out for more as we share in the coming days. For now, if you were there, thank you! If you couldn’t join us this year, hopefully we’ll see you next time.

Our friends at PMRC are conducting a global study into the experience of married Catholics. If you married in the last 10 years and at least one spouse is Catholic, they would love to hear from you. If you have a few minutes to spare, you can provide valuable insights by completing this short survey about your marriage at tinyurl.com/MarriageSurveyPMRC

All your answers are anonymous and confidential, and you can get in touch with the researchers directly if you have any questions about the survey (contact details can also be found through the link above).

Thank you friends, and God bless 🙏.

This week we were thrilled to have held our latest RAP truth-telling workshop at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Parish, Sunnybank, gathering with parishes and communities for a day of listening and learning as we walk united in a shared commitment to reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We were honoured to welcome Bundamabah Yah, a descendant of both the Turrbal and Jagera Clans of the Yuggera Language Speaking Nation and a singer, didgeridoo player and dancer with over thirty years of experience. We were lucky enough to hear Bundamabah share his stories and reflections on family, Country, identity and the connections that shape who we are.

A big thank you to Sunnybank Parish for hosting, and to all the wonderful people who came along to support RAP initiatives and deepen their understanding of the purpose and significance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural practices.

Last week, young Catholic leaders in their first two years of ministry came together for a joyous evening at our Emerging Leaders Dinner, hosted by our awesome Youth and Young Adults team Catholic Collective!

They shared their experiences with each other, celebrated their wins, and encouraged each other in the incredible work they’re doing. It was a wonderful night, with those who went walking away confident in the strength and health of the Archdiocese of Brisbane.

With young leaders like this, we can’t help but feel excited and hopeful for what’s to come!

If you’re interested in getting into youth leadership or know someone who is interested, please visit catholicollective.org.au or get in touch with our friendly team at [email protected]
