Hello everyone!
My name is Sister Solia, and I’m from Samoa. I’m currently serving as a full-time missionary here in the Australia Brisbane Mission.
I’m so grateful for the opportunity to share what the gospel has done for me. From the moment I stepped into the mission field, I’ve seen the Lord’s hand in my life in ways I never expected. It hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge has taught me more about who I am, who He is, and how much He loves me.
One of the scriptures that has carried me through every hard day is Alma 7:11-12. It says, “And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.
And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities.”
I love these verses because they remind me every single day about my Savior and how He was able to endure the pain because He loves us so much. Knowing that He understands exactly what I’m going through gives me strength to keep going, even when I feel weak or homesick.
Serving here has changed me in ways I never thought possible. I’m grateful for all the things I’ve learned, for the missionaries I’ve served with, and for the people I’ve met and had the chance to share the gospel with. Seeing their faith and watching the gospel bring light into their lives has made my own testimony grow stronger. I can truly see the change in myself now how I trust the Lord more, how I rely on Him in my prayers, and how I’ve come to feel His love more deeply than before.
Soon, I’ll finish my mission, but I know that what I’ve learned and felt here will stay with me forever. I’m so thankful for this sacred time to serve Him. I can testify that Jesus Christ lives, He knows each of us personally, and because of Him, we can be healed, strengthened, and brought back to our Heavenly Father.
I love yous all, and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, AMEN
