This week is National Child Protection Week, and we're reaffirming our commitment to fostering safe, nurturing environments where every child can flourish 🌼

As part of our commitment to child safety, we are:
🛡️ Actively engaging in conversations around child safety and child protection across our learning communities
👂 Listening to children's voices
💙 Building on cultures of safeguarding children in our learning communities
🤝 Collaborating across our network to strengthen procedures, policies, and processes in the safeguarding space

At LEQ, we feel strongly that every action, big or small, contributes to a safe future for children. This year's theme, 'Every Conversation Matters: Shifting Conversation to Action', reminds us that keeping children and young people safe is something each and every one of us is responsible for. Meet two more of our fantastic Next Ed Workshop Presenters: Prof. Linda Graham & Dr Haley Tancredi 👋

Speaking on Accessibility in Education, Prof. Linda:
🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Is Director of QUT (Queensland University of Technology) 's Centre for Inclusive Education (C4IE), and a Professor in the QUT School of Education.
📚 Holds a Bachelor of Arts (English Literature and Modern History) and a Master of Education from Macquarie University, plus a PhD in Education from QUT.

Speaking on Identifying & Designing Out Barriers, Dr Haley:
🧠 Is a Senior Lecturer and Study Area Coordinator (Inclusive Education) for QUT's Master of Education/Graduate Certificate in Education in the QUT School of Education, the Inclusion & Exclusion program co-leader in Centre for Inclusive Education, and creator and facilitator of QUT's Inclusive Education Essentials microcredential.
🔎 Is a researcher in the field of inclusive education, focused on supporting teachers to make inclusive education a reality using Accessible Pedagogies and measuring the impacts for students with language and/or attentional difficulties.

Working with The Resilience Project since 2020, Leah joins us to talk Teacher Wellbeing - how we strengthen and support ourselves first, so we can strengthen and support others.

Join us at Next Ed 2026 for Hayley's keynote presentation 'The Art of Really Listening', and join her in an Intro to Sketchnoting workshop.

Hayley is Chief Doodler at Thoughts Drawn Out , a creative consultancy powered by the art and science of illustrated storytelling and human centred design. She is obsessed with visual storytelling to say the least, having written a book, delivered a TEDx talk, and created numerous courses on the topic.
