I told the story of standing on a farm in the Lost World — no phone reception, no city lights, just
a sky thick with stars. Some of that starlight left its source before Jesus was even born. And it’s
still arriving.

That’s the kind of light we’re invited to carry. Not the flashy kind. The faithful kind. The kind that
travels further than we know and lands where we’ll never see.

You may not feel like much of a light this week. That’s okay. A star doesn’t feel itself shining
either. It just stays close to the core. Stay close.

not a rule. It’s a metric. When you find yourself grumbling, that’s a warning light on the
dashboard. Not that you’re failing. That you’ve switched to self-power.
The fix isn’t to try harder. It’s to plug back in.
