This Sunday's gathering:

Music – We are delighted to have Daisy and her team leading us in worship through song together this week.

Community Time – Sharolyn will share a few updates about what’s happening in the life of Cornerstone including the celebration of a precious new life.

Children – We are thankful for our kids and the young-at-heart who give their time to serve them creatively (and patiently)! What an honour it is to be a part of a multi-generational congregation, this wonderfully eclectic extended family.

Prayers of the People – This week some of our Elders will lead us to pray together into Faith for our Future. God is ALWAYS at work among us, but we have a fresh sense of the need to prayerfully discern our future together as a community at this time.

The Word - What an encouragement this 2000 year old letter is! Pastor Graham is continuing our series on Paul’s letter to the Ephesians – A Grand Design for a New Humanity, and will then lead us as we gather around the communion table together. (If you would like to catch up on any missed sermons you can find the recordings here.)

We worship through music and song, with our voices, hearts and hands. We are so grateful for the talented musicians who lead us in this. We also worship through...

🤝 Community Time – Stella will share a few updates about what’s coming up in the life of our church along with some small but not insignificant celebrations of those among us.

🙏 Prayers of the People – We will hear from Rob Burgess with some feedback about the recent Renaissance Conference, followed by a time of prayer.

📖 The Word – Pastor Graham is kicking off a new series: Paul's Letter to the Ephesians – A Grand Design for a New Humanity. If you’ve ever watched the TV show Grand Designs you will know how plans/hopes and reality rarely line up. Sounds like some helpful lessons... check out the video below for a teaser.

As the storm clouds gather again this afternoon there are rumbles and mounting pressure thick in the air. I am encouraged to anticipate a beautiful and refreshing outpouring of not just rain, but of the Holy Spirit among us, soaking deep into the soil of our lives.

Hey Cornerstoners!

This Sunday is a special one — we’re gathering as God’s people to worship, to listen, and to be reminded that He is at work among us. Come with faith and expectancy for all that God is doing in and through our church family.

Here’s what’s ahead:

🎵 Worship – Graham and the team will lead us in lifting up the name of Jesus, our living hope. We’ll be singing Same God again — a powerful reminder of God’s faithfulness. (If you missed it last week, have a listen here before Sunday!)

🤝 Community Time – Charlie will share a few updates about what’s coming up in the life of our church.

🙏 Farewell to Ps Duane & Cheryl – We’ll take time to thank and bless Ps Duane and Cheryl as they prepare to head north to be closer to family. We’ll gather around them in prayer and send them off with love.

📖 The Word – Ps Joy will bring a message reminding us of the unshakable truth that our God is faithful, and He calls us to walk faithfully with Him. We’ll finish by sharing communion together.

It’s going to be a beautiful morning of worship, gratitude, and encouragement — a reminder of who we are and the hope we hold in Christ.

Hey Cornerstoners!

We’re gathering as God’s people to worship, to listen and to be reminded that He is at work among us. This Sunday, we’re looking forward to coming together with a fresh sense of faith and expectancy for all that God is doing.

Here’s what’s ahead:
Worship – Daisy and the team will be leading us in worship and introducing a new song that feels especially timely for our community — Same God – Listen below for a sneak peek!

Community Time – Ps Graham will share a bit about what’s happening in the life of our church. Our Kids’ Offering Tin is also back for Term 4, raising funds for the Cornerstone Woodlands visit in December — a great opportunity to talk with your kids about generosity and helping others.

Cornerstone on Mission – Ps Joy will be interviewing Peter Lane as he shares stories and reflections from his recent time ministering in Fiji — including speaking at men’s meetings at the AOG South Pacific Bible College and visiting local churches.

The Word – Ps Duane and Cheryl are back from their adventure around the country! Before they head to Cairns, Duane will share a message that points us back to the unshakable truth of who God is — constant, faithful, and the same yesterday, today, and forever.

It’s going to be a morning to lift your spirit, strengthen your faith, and remind you that you belong — to God, to His mission, and to this community. We can’t wait to gather with you.

Hi Cornerstoners,

Every Sunday is more than a meeting —we’re gathering the Body of Christ. In worship, in conversation, and around the Table, we remind one another of what’s true: that Jesus is Lord, His Spirit is among us, and His love still changes hearts.

Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 12 that “the body is made up of many parts, but it is one body.” Each person brings something vital — a word of encouragement, a song of faith, a quiet prayer, a listening ear. When you’re with us, we’re all the richer!

We’d love for you to be part of our gathering this Sunday:

Worship – Sarah and the team will lead us as we turn our hearts toward God in gratitude and awe.

Community Time – Stella will share what’s happening in the life of our church. Cornerstone Kids is back as school returns for Term 4 — children will head to their usual groups, while Voyagers will remain in with the adults this week.

Cornerstone on Mission – We’ll hear from some of our Smash campers and leaders as they share stories and reflections from their time away.

The Word – Ps Graham will open the Scriptures, helping us see our place in God’s unfolding story through the lectionary readings.

Communion – We’ll come to the Lord’s Table, remembering Christ’s sacrifice and rejoicing in His presence among us.

It’s going to be a time to lift your spirit, renew your faith, and remember that you belong — not just to God, but to one another. Your presence might be exactly what someone else needs this week!

Ps. Don't forget to pack a picnic to take to the park after the service!

Hi Cornerstoners,

This Sunday is All In Sunday — a service for the whole family, where we’ll worship, hear the Word, and respond together in a way that everyone can be part of. It won’t look like our usual service, but that’s the joy of it — different voices, different ages, all one family in Christ.

We’re in our Green and Growing Sundays, a season in the church calendar that reminds us of new life, hope, and spiritual growth — like a seed pushing up into something new. It’s the perfect time to worship side by side as one church, young and old alike.

All In Sunday also falls during the Season of Creation (1 Sept – 4 Oct), when churches all around the world pause to give thanks for God’s beautiful creation and renew our calling to care for it. Together, we’ll delight in the wonder of God’s handiwork, honour Him by remembering our role as stewards, and pray for His renewing work in the world.

We'll close with communion and head into the cafe area for morning tea afterwards - bring a plate to share!

It’s going to be a rich morning, and we’d love for you (and your family, and friends!) to be there.

✨ First things first – please keep our Smash campers and leaders in prayer this week as they dive into a time of fun, faith, and friendship together.

📸 God’s Creation Photo Challenge
This week, we’re inviting everyone — especially the kids! — to capture a glimpse of God’s amazing creation. Take a photo of something in the natural world: a flower, a bird, a sunset, even a trail of ants. Be creative!
Email your photo to [email protected] or [email protected] by this Friday morning, and we’ll display them during our All In Sunday service. (And yes — there’s a prize for the winner!)
