Such a powerful message from Ps Jamie Hill today on grace.
Grace is undeserved, unmerited, and freely given. We do not earn it, and we could never deserve it, yet Jesus offers it to us anyway.
He took out our shame, our mistakes, and our sin, and in exchange gave us His grace.
Justice is getting what we deserve, but grace is receiving what we could never deserve. And thank God for that.
We were reminded that grace is not a free pass to keep living the same way. Grace calls us higher. It brings us back into alignment with God. It teaches us, shapes us, and empowers us to live differently.
Even in our weakness, His grace is enough.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
2 Corinthians 12:9
No matter what season you are in, there is grace for you.
If you feel unqualified, there is grace.
If you feel tired or overwhelmed, there is grace.
If you feel far from God, there is grace.
The cross is the greatest picture of this.
Jesus paid the price so we could receive the gift.
He did not just die. He rose again.
He is alive, and there is still power today to forgive, restore, heal, and make people new.
Let’s not forget what Jesus has done.
Let’s live in His grace this week.
