Ever feel a massive gap between the “current you” and the “future you”? Today’s message reminded us that Jesus meets us right in that messy middle.
This week’s biggest takeaways:
Peace isn’t the absence of problems: It’s God’s presence right in the middle of them.
Imitate the real, not the “reel”: Stop comparing your life to social media highlight reels.
Grace > Striving: Jesus never says, “Try harder.” He simply says, “Come to me.”
Identity first: God changes your identity before He changes your behavior. You are already chosen and loved!
Let’s trade the pressure to be perfect for His peace this week. You don’t have to have it all together to take your next step toward Jesus, and you definitely don’t have to do it by yourself. What cloak are you wearing? 🧥 Ps Leanne challenged us this morning to look at the identities we pack around with us; whether they’re labels the world put on us, or personas we built ourselves just to get by.
The good news? God is offering us a much better cloak.
Three things to sit with today:
🖼️ You are His masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10). Your identity isn’t tied to your job, your relationship status, or your past.
🔥 It’s time to “burn the plow.” Like Elisha, fully stepping into God’s call means letting go of the backup plans. The past isn’t holding you back; you just have to choose to let it go.
🙅‍♀️ You can’t wear two cloaks at once. We can’t carry worldly labels and God’s calling at the same time. Drop the old weight and step into His freedom.
The day isn’t over yet! We are back tonight for HOME NIGHT. Come ready for awesome praise and worship, ministry time, and honestly just a lot of fun together as a church family.

Such a powerful and practical message from Pastor Jamie last Sunday on stewardship and the heart behind our generosity. God doesn’t want your money; He wants your trust, your heart, and your dependence.

If we only focus on information, we can dry up. If we only focus on experiences, we can blow up. But when we partner the Word of God with the Spirit of God, we GROW UP!
Today, we looked at the book of Acts and reminded ourselves that the Holy Spirit isn’t just for the elite or the theological scholars, the Holy Spirit is for everyone.
Here are the 4 big truths we leaned into today:
1. The Holy Spirit is for EVERYONE 🌍
At Pentecost, the Spirit fell on the young, the old, men, and women from every background. No matter who you are, God’s presence is available to you.
2. The Holy Spirit is a GIFT 🎁
You don’t have to achieve the Holy Spirit, you just have to receive Him. You don’t have to work harder or “get good enough” to deserve His power. It’s a gift already promised to you.
3. The Holy Spirit brings POWER 💪
In the areas where you feel anxious, weary, or overwhelmed, the Holy Spirit provides supernatural power. He gives us the ability to forgive, to be creative, and to step out in boldness and faith.
4. The Holy Spirit brings PASSION ❤️‍🔥
The Spirit is like a fire that ignites our hearts. We are responsible for keeping our lamps full of oil so our flame doesn’t burn out. We need a fresh top-up of His passion today!
The Holy Spirit isn’t a one time event, it’s a continuous pouring out. Let’s live on a full tank this week, walking in boldness just like Peter and John!

Worship isn’t just a song we sing; it’s how we show up in the middle of the mess, the distractions, and the beautiful chaos of life.🏺
Being a mum means worship often happens in the middle of the “mental load.” Today, Ps reminded us that the distractions aren’t the enemy of worship; they are the context for it.
She took us to Matthew 26, to the story of the woman with the Alabaster jar. That perfume wasn’t just a gift; it was a year’s wages. It was precious. But it wasn’t until she broke the jar that the fragrance filled the room.
Worship held back transforms nothing.
But worship surrendered? It changes the whole atmosphere.
Maybe your “jar” today is your schedule, your reputation, or even your secret brokenness. Jesus doesn’t want your leftovers; He wants your heart.
As we celebrate all the incredible mums today, remember: your “ordinary” life and your daily surrender is a sweet fragrance to God. Share this with a friend who needs this reminder today. 🙏

Worship is a lifestyle, not just a song.🙏
Worship isn’t just a song or the 20 minutes we spend in a service; it’s the work and the lifestyle we live every day. Ps kicked off our new series today with such a powerful reminder to live a life worthy of worship.
Key moments from this morning:
— The Wheel vs. The Ladder: We often try to put God at the “top” of a ladder of priorities. But worship is putting Jesus at the center of the wheel. When He is the hub, He influences our work, our family, and our friendships equally.
— Attention Shapes Affection: What we give our focus to eventually becomes what we love most. If we want our hearts to burn for God, we have to choose where we place our attention first.
— The Posture of Surrender: Raising our hands is more than a physical move—it’s an act of surrender. It says, “Lord, you have my full focus. My agenda is less important than Yours.”
— Trust > Feelings: Worship isn’t determined by a “vibe” or our current circumstances. It’s a conviction that God is good and faithful, even when we don’t “feel” it.
— Obedience is Worship: Real worship costs us something. It’s choosing His will over our own and giving Him our first and our best, not just our leftovers.
Let’s not just sing the songs this week; let’s live the life of surrender. 🙌
