Jesus promises he will return and the next world will begin.

How should a Christian live now? For the next world. But so often we try to live for this world and the next. It is impossible. As Jesus makes clear in many passages on treasure in heaven, suffering for the gospel and living this life directed towards his return.

Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master has put in charge of his household, to give them food at the proper time? Blessed is that servant whom the master finds doing his job when he comes.
