Rest 🌿

Exodus 33:14 reminds us of the powerful promise God made to Moses: "My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." In the presence of God, we find true rest. Let's dive deeper into this profound truth:

1️⃣ God knew Moses' flaws and fears, yet He promised His presence to empower him. Despite Moses' imperfections, God's presence enabled him to do the impossible in the eyes of men.

2️⃣ As the Israelites faced the daunting Red Sea and an army pursuing them, they were terrified. But God's presence assured them of a way forward. In the midst of their fear, they were called to be still and find rest in God's presence, knowing that He is God.

3️⃣ Along their journey, there were enemies such as the Amalekites, Jebusites, and Hittites. Yet, God guaranteed victory. When Moses lifted his hands, the people found rest, trusting that the battle had already been won.

4️⃣ Despite water scarcity, God provided a rock as their source of refreshment, nourishment, and replenishment. This rock symbolized Jesus, and those who drank from Him would enter into rest.

5️⃣ Due to their sins, God sent poisonous snakes among the Israelites. However, there was still rest, healing, and restoration for those who looked up to the brazen serpent. Those who refused to look remained restless and faced death (Numbers 21:9).

My prayer is that you will walk into this rest. Though the journey ahead may appear difficult, uncertain, and challenging, there is hope for rest. You can have peace, calmness, and joy despite your surroundings, knowing that God is in control of everything.

The place of rest perfects the imperfect. It makes us more dependent on God, strengthens our trust in Him, and enables us to walk in obedience. As we embrace this posture, His glory perfects us.

Let us not despise the wilderness experiences—the seasons of harshness, lack, persecution, and oppression. Instead, thank God for these moments, for they are meant to shape and refine us. They provide an opportunity to experience Him at His deepest level. Just as David in Psalm 55:6 desires wings to fly to a place of rest in the wilderness, so shall we.

Remember, you are growing better every day. Have hope, be still, and know that He is God.

Matthew 11:28-30 (Amplified Bible - AMP)
REST

28 "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you REST [refreshing your souls with salvation]. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me [following Me as My disciple], for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest (renewal, blessed quiet) for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy [to bear] and My burden is light."

Dear friends,
Today, let's delve into the concept of REST as highlighted in Matthew 11:28-30. Imagine a yoke, a heavy wooden harness that fits over the shoulders of oxen, used to pull equipment or carry loads. Have you witnessed this in action - the strength and effort required?

In a similar manner, are you burdened with heavy loads in your life? Perhaps it's the weight of sin, excessive demands from from your career and family,oppression, persecution, or weariness in your pursuit of God. Thankfully, Jesus offers freedom from these burdens. He doesn't take them away completely, but He makes them bearable and manageable when we choose to walk with Him.

The REST He promises is filled with love, healing, and peace. It doesn't mean an end to labor, but rather, it marks the beginning of a season where God transforms meaningless toil into spiritual productivity and PURPOSE.

Reflect for a moment: What has hindered you from entering and experiencing God's REST? Remember the crowds that followed Jesus - He directed His disciples to find a place where they could sit, eat, and find REST. He understood that they needed more than just bread and fish; they required an experience that would meet their past, present, and future needs with abundance,for what lies ahead. If they grasped this concept, they would enter into a state of REST - a place where God nourishes, provides, and satisfies. Unfortunately, they couldn't fully embrace it because they lacked the truth within themselves.

Consider the story of the Disciples in Mark 4:35-41, when a storm struck their boat, leaving them restless. Yet, Jesus, the provider of REST, was peacefully resting amidst the chaos.

Today, you may be facing storms, threats, or mountains that cause great anxiety. In these moments, you have two choices: (1) Worry and assume that God doesn't care, or (2) RESIST fear and uncertainty by placing your trust in Him and calling upon His name.

Find REST in the midst of your storms, for they are meant to make you strong and build your hope in Christ. Seek REST in all restless situations, knowing that the Master is on board with you. Surrender your burdens - whether they be sin, worldly cares, frustrations, or mountains - to Him, and your life will never be the same. In return, He will offer you true REST.

May you find peace and tranquillity in His presence.

And there is no fruit on the vines,
Though the yield of the olive fails
And the fields produce no food,
Though the flock is cut off from the fold
And there are no cattle in the stalls,
Yet I will [choose to] rejoice in the Lord;
I will [choose to] shout in exultation in the [victorious] God of my salvation!(A)
The Lord God is my strength [my source of courage, my invincible army];
He has made my feet [steady and sure] like hinds’ feet

Title : HOPE IN ADVERSITY

Romans 8:28.-Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God's Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter.

He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans.

He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.

Whatever you are facing isn't there to make you bitter but better.

Bad seasons are not meant to define your story.They are for the purpose of breaking the shell that the yoke may be touched for effective use by the Master, polishing up,preparing you and Healing that you may emerge better.

Therefore Accept and embrace His love, worship Him even with the scars and wounds. Allow every word that proceeds from His mouth do something and complete you in your inside. Remember you cannot choose your situation but you can choose your spirit. Let your attitude be right and you will conquer all the storms,difficulties and challenges that comes with every altitude .

Fundamental difference between the man of faith and the man of unbelief. The unbeliever is of the world,judges everything by worldly standards,views life from the standpoint of time and sense,and weighs everything in the balances of his own carnal mind and understanding. But the man of Faith brings in God,looks at everything from his standpoint,estimates values by spiritual standards and views life in the light of eternity. Doing this he receives whatever comes as from the Lord. He is ever calm in his heart in the midst of storms and harsh life situations. He continually rejoices in the hope of the glory of God.He is strengthened during the test of his faith for his confidence lyies in the wisdom,greatness,might and sovereignty of Him that Holds all things together in His council and purpose..may the Lord strengthen you to remain faithful during the tests,trials and storms of life.

Have REST This week.

Exodus:33.14
And He said, "My Presence will go [with you,] and I will give you rest."

In Gods presence there is REST..When God promised Moses that His presence will be with Him throughout the Exodus.
(1) He knew that Moses was a coward,an imperfect man and the promise of His presence ,He would do make him do the impossible in they eyes of men.(God would glory in his flaws and imperfections)
(2) He knew the Red sea was ahead..But because His presence was with him,there would be a way..thats why despite moses and the children of Israel being terrified because the present(SEA)and their past (ARMY) pursuing them the word was.. BE STILL(REST in my presence) And know that I am God.
(3) He knew that there were amalekites,jebusites,hittites along the way..But He would win for them.In lifting of Moses' Hands they would REST assured that the Battle was always win.(lifting men The battle wasn't in their hands but in the hands of God).
(4) He knew there would be water scarcity but a rock would be their source of refreshment,nourishment and replenisment(the rock was Jesus and He who that drank from that ROCK(JESUS) would enter REST)
(5)He knew that He will send them poisonous snakes due to their sins but again there will be REST(Healing,restoration)to those who looked up to the BRAZEN SERPENT..but to those who didn't they were restless to death (Numbers 21:9). A great revelation of the son of God,whoever would look up to him would be saved and enter Gods eternal REST.
My prayer is that you will walk in this REST. the journey ahead may seem difficult,uncertain and difficult but there is HOPE for REST..having peace,calmness and joy despite your surrounding knowing that God is in control over Everything.
The place of REST perfects the imperfect as this place makes one more dependent on God,trust him more,walk in obedience and as they do this,His glory perfects them.
Thank Him for the wilderness(harsh seasons,difficult moments,moments of lack,persecution and oppression) you are going through for they are meant to shape,refine you and make you EXPERIENCE the HIM at HIS depth..and as David in psalms 55:6 desireswings to fly to a place of REST in the wilderness/desert(place of perfection) so shall we.
