We hope you had a wonderful Father’s Day yesterday, celebrating the dads and father figures who mean so much to us.

Yesterday, we celebrated the fathers and father figures who have made a difference in our lives. But we also remember those who were missing a dad, those who never had the father they needed, and those whose relationship with their father has brought hurt.

Whatever yesterday looked like for you, we pray you felt surrounded by love and reminded that you have a Heavenly Father who sees you, knows you and loves you deeply.

Happy middle of the week, Church!

As you continue to walk with Jesus this week, remember that the next step doesn’t have to be huge but a step in Faith. Trust Him. We can’t always see the whole picture but God can. God has given His authority to all His believers:

“And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”
Mark 16:17-18

This Sunday we are celebrating Father’s Day together and will be honouring all our great men in the Church. Come and join in with us for our combined service:
📍 Woodcrest Auditorium
🕣 9:00am combined service
🍰 10:30am morning tea

During the service we will be having a Mission Offering for our VietThai Missions Team who are heading overseas in two weeks. Please keep praying for the team as they prepare for their overseas missions.

God bless the rest of your week, Church.
See you soon!

Ps Yvette shared an encouraging message yesterday on how Jesus told ALL Christians to pray with Faith, heal the sick and raise the dead - not just theologians or people we think are important.

“As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.”
Matthew 10:7-8 (NIV)

Jesus’ followers, including simple fishermen, were given this command so that we can step out in Faith, praying and trusting in God for the outcome.

Hey Church, as you continue your journey through life this week, remember that God is for you and He is faithful. Even when we don’t see things clearly or find ourselves needing correction, we can trust that He is working in us and leading us towards maturity.

“But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.”
2 Thessalonians 3:3

We’d love to see you this Sunday as we worship together, hear God’s Word and enjoy fellowship as a church family.

“In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food!”
Hebrews 5:12 (NIV)

Solid food is for the spiritually mature Christians which takes constant practice, training and surrender. Yesterday, Ps Renee continued our series on Walking with Jesus, exploring how our distorted views affect our perception of God and reality. Distortions like jealousy, self interest and strife can cause us to have a distorted view of reality. But God is faithful and He is for us in our immaturity and He is there for when we are willing to surrender to his correction.

A challenge for us all this week:
Are we willing to surrender and let Him reveal and correct our distortions so we can mature spiritually and reveal Christ properly?

Our podcast had some issues this week and is not available. However if you want to recap on a previous message you can listen to our podcasts here:

As followers of Jesus, we’re all on a journey of growing in spiritual maturity. Learning to trust Him more deeply, stand firm in faith, and live with confidence in the authority He has given us. Jesus demonstrated spiritual maturity by using power and authority over demons and diseases, rebuking storms, and persevering through every challenge. As followers of Jesus, we are called to demonstrate that same maturity through faith-filled rebukes in Jesus’ name.

Spiritual maturity isn’t about age, but about responding to life’s circumstances with faith. Ps John’s message yesterday on “What does Maturity Look Like?” was a great message for us all. He spoke about how Jesus demonstrated maturity by using power and authority over demons and diseases, rebuking storms and persevering. We are called to demonstrate spiritual maturity by supernaturally changing circumstances through faith-filled rebukes in Jesus’ name, trusting that Jesus has already overcome the world. It’s about faith in Jesus!

Luke 8:22-25
One day Jesus said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side of the lake.” So they got into a boat and set out. As they sailed, he fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger. The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!”

He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. “Where is your faith?” he asked his disciples

In fear and amazement they asked one another, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him.
