FAREWELL AND THANK YOU
Many thanks to the parish community for warmly welcoming me when I started as Parish Secretary at the beginning of 2019. As I farewell my time here in this position, I look back on the last few years with fond memories and new friendships formed. I admire the time the many volunteers give of their talents in supporting the parish. Thank you to the other staff who have been of support and who have I have learned much from. Most importantly thank you to Fr Bernie for your patience, guidance and friendship.

Thank you to Mary MacKillop College, Nundah for having us and for your very kind words.

On Friday we farewelled Father Bernie and Madonna from the Banyo Nundah Parish. We thank you both for your contribution to Mary MacKillop College and wish you all the best for the future.

Today we celebrate the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which the Church has celebrated since at least the sixth century. The feast comes nine months after the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception and marks the day Our Lady was born to her parents, Sts Anne and Joachim.

In 2014, Pope Francis said to think of the feast as if it were our own mother's birthday and to make sure to send birthday greetings in the form of a Hail Mary.

Our Lady, pray for us 🙏
