Our longing is to free people to love God in relevant worship, to love one another through authentic relationships and to love the world by serving people both near and far with humility and joy. Toowong Uniting Church is a Christian church that services the inner Western Suburbs of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia. Fifty percent of the inhabitants are between the ages of 18-30. Many are students
or visiting academics at the nearby universities: University of Queensland or Queensland University of Technology. Some of Toowong’s population are elderly residents who have lived in the suburb all their lives. This rich and diverse mix is reflected in our congregation. Located in Sherwood Road, Toowong, the Toowong Uniting Church is a few hundred metres from Toowong Village Shopping Centre and the cafes of Sherwood Road and High Street, within easy walking distance of the Brisbane-Ipswich train line and City Council bus routes.
