OFFICIAL STATEMENT

Samoan Church of God International

It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt sympathy that we extend our sincere condolences and prayers to Pastor Tagomoa Malie Sauilemau and family, as well as to our General Treasurer, Evangelist Moapi Tuaau, and the entire SKCOG Manukau Ministry, on the passing of our beloved First Lady Faalia Lemalu Tuaau-Sauilemau.

Today, we pause to honor and remember a woman of unwavering faith, humility, and devotion to God. First Lady Faaliah lived a life that reflected the grace of Christ and the steadfastness of a true servant of the Lord. Through sea*ons of joy and sea*ons of trial, she remained faithful to the calling of God upon her life, trusting in Him through every storm and challenge she faced.

Her testimony was one of perseverance, faithfulness, and love. She served God diligently, supported the work of the ministry wholeheartedly, and left an enduring legacy that will continue to inspire generations to come.

While our hearts grieve her departure, we rejoice in the assurance that she has entered into the presence of the Lord whom she faithfully served. As Scripture reminds us:

“Well done, good and faithful servant… enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”
— Matthew 25:23

On behalf of the Executive Committee, Ministers, and members of the Samoan Church of God International across Samoa, New Zealand, Australia, and abroad, we offer our prayers that God’s peace, comfort, strength, and grace will surround the Sauilemau and Tuaau families during this difficult sea*on.

May the Lord uphold you, comfort you, and remind you that precious in His sight is the homegoing of His faithful servants.

On behalf of the Executive General Board of the Samoan Church of God International, together with Apostle Rev. Fereti Purcell and First Lady Ramuta Purcell, General Superintendent Luapule Lualua and First Lady Mafutaga Lualua, and the entire Samoan Church of God International family across Australia, New Zealand, and Samoa, we honour and celebrate the life of Elder Sevao Peteru Ila Eti.

Today, as we lay him to rest, we reflect on a life of unwavering faith, humility, and faithful service to God. Elder Sevao was a devoted servant of the Lord, whose life stood as a powerful testimony of commitment, love, and obedience. He has truly fought the good fight and finished his race with honour.

We extend our deepest prayers and heartfelt condolences to his beloved wife, Meleseke Ila, and the entire Ila family. We also uplift Senior Ps. John Ropati, First Lady Eseta Ropati, and the Casula SCOG Church Ministry during this time. May the peace of God rest upon you all, bringing comfort, strength, and assurance in His promises.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” – 2 Timothy 4:7

May the Lord draw near to you and uphold you with His everlasting love.

Rest in glory, Elder Sevao Peteru Ila Eti. Your legacy of faith will continue to live on.
