Thanks to Rev Ray for speaking to us today. We reflected on the complexity of life and that Jesus set out processes to come to a solution for hard problems, rather than setting down rules and regulations. We looked at Matthew 22: 15–22 where Jesus discusses taxes paid to the Roman Empire as a case of this. (Coin is AI art but these words are a human summary of the message).

Thanks to Pastor Rose from Clay Church Brisbane for taking our service today. We reflected on God's invitation to us, as described by the parable of the king's wedding feast in Matthew 22: 1-14. Today we reflected on the important role of boundaries and restrictions on our journey with God. The 10 Commandments ( Exodus 20: 1-4, 7-9) help transform the complaining refugees in the desert into God's people. The commandments tell of God's grace, teach how to rightly worship God, and teach our responsibilities to each other.
We shared this beautiful song for the last day of the Season of Creation.

Today we reflected on Exodus 17:1-7. The Israelites in the desert are grumbling, complaining and testing God. As in many transformational journeys, they have reached a liminal space, a point where the old life in Egypt is over but the new life feels a long way away.The euphoria of their escape has worn off. A teenager who has finished primary school and , near the end of summer holidays, starts to worry about high school , is also in a liminal space. Sometimes though such spaces are uncomfortable, God leads us to them. They can be invitations, for example invitations to trust God more deeply. Picture below is AI generated .

May we see in every moment the spark of holiness And recognize Christ in every encounter

May God's word burst from the pages of our lives and
