September is our celebration of the Season of Creation, when we reflect on what Creation tells us about God. Today we reflected on the way Creation speaks to us of God's generosity and love. Let us spend some time in nature or if we are unable, with an artistic depiction or video that is meaningful , to reflect and pray this week and in the coming weeks.

Today, we reflected on those who stood up for justice against the pharoh (Exodus 1 and Exodus 2:1-10). The midwives, who refused to kill Hebrew boys at birth as pharaoh had commanded, Moses sister Miriam and the pharoh's own daughter. Because of Miriam, when pharoh's daughter adopted Moses, he was nursed by his own mother . It is our responsibility to work for peace and justice today. The lovely flowers below were on our table for daffodil day as a tribute for all affected in any way by cancer, directly or indirectly.

Today we heard the story of Joseph and his reunion with his brothers ( Genesis 45) . This story of redemption and reconciliation shows that God can and does use actions done with evil intent to do good. Because Joseph was sold into slavery in Egypt, he was able to help his people survive a long, severe drought and famine. Disclosure : picure is AI generated

Today we reflected on Joseph, a dreamer and favourite of his father sold as a slave by his brothers (Genesis 37).We thought about our wish to come home to our true identity as a person created by God, known by God and loved by God.
Gods dream for us is healing, renewal and fullness of life.

Today we reflected on Jacob preparing to meet his brother ( Genisus 32) after many years away, and wrestling with a mystery stranger, who finally blessed him.

Today, we continued to follow the journey of Jacob. Things go awry when he is tricked (Genesis 29) in a similar way to the way he tricked his father, given his beloved Rachel's sister as his bride, not her. Life doesn't always go as planned. Jesus and the Old Testament prophets accepted tradgedy as part of life. As followers of Jesus, we recognise that he accepted people that others might see as different or outcast, like lepers, tax collectors, prostitutes, Gentiles, Samaritans and lost sheep. Sometimes, the unlikely ones are the people who have most to teach us.

May we remember today that we are part of an unfolding story
That calls us to listen to God’s words with intent to action
May we live in the reality of God’s kingdom entering into our lives
May we rejoice in the wonder of God’s eternal presence
May all that we do deepen our awareness of God
May we see in every moment the spark of holiness
And recognize Christ in every encounter
May God’s word burst from the pages of our lives and …
become the life we live
