Session 4 | The Support System of Surrender
Wayne reminded us that surrender starts in the heart and blooms in the soil of support. Here’s what that looks like:
🕊 Faith: Surrender starts with faith, doing what God’s called you to do even when you don’t know how it’ll all work out. True faith says, even when I can’t see it, I trust that God’s hand is over the process.
📖 Scripture: Building habits of meditating on God’s Word sustains you. It trains your heart to respond with truth when life shakes you.
When you’re rooted in Scripture, your first reaction isn’t fear — it’s faith.
“Your eternal word, O Lord, stands firm in heaven.” — Psalm 119:89
🤝 Community: You weren’t meant to do this alone. Surrounding yourself with people who are running after God protects you from isolation, the enemy’s favorite tactic. Like Pastor Jimmy said, the lion doesn’t attack the herd, it looks for the one who’s alone. Stay close.
