Sometimes we need to welcome Jesus, the prince of Peace into our hearts as we begin our prayer. Help us Lord to pray!🙏

Congratulations Sr Stephanie!! 🎊

Congratulations to Sr Stephanie, who has recently made her third profession of vows with the Discalced Carmelite Nuns at the Carmel of the Holy Spirit in Ormiston. Before answering God’s call to a life of prayer and contemplation, Sr Stephanie was an active member of Parish of Saints Peter and Paul - Bulimba community. Recently, Fr Kevin and Fr Sang visited her, assuring her of their prayers and the prayers of the whole parish. We give thanks to God for Sr Stephanie’s generous “yes” to His call and we continue to keep her and all the Carmelite Sisters in our prayers. 🙏⛪❤️

We were very busy over National Vocation Week!

We kicked off with Quo Vadis for Men on the 1st, which is our premire discernment event for men discerning the priesthood.

Next was our Transfiguration prayer night on the 6th, where we were joined in prayer for vocations with Archbishop Shane, and hosted a vocation expo with orders from throughout the Archdiocese.

We ended the awareness week with Quo Vadis for Women on the 8th, which is the female equivilant for those discerning a religious vocation. This year it landed on the feast of St Mary of the Cross, which is entirley fitting.

Thanks for all involved and for all who prayed for vocations over the week.

With Sr Theresa, our discerners had a wonderful weekend at Quo Vadis for Women. When retreating into God's beautiful creation, it becomes easier to hear His voice, and so we thank the young women who participated, and pray for them on their discernment journey.

Archbishop Shane, led us in the liturgy, where we spent time in Adoration, which was followed by a lively time at our Vocations Expo. Thanks to all involved, and all those who joined us in praying for Vocations!

The men's Quo Vadis retreat this year was unsurprisingly a holy weekend, filled with prayer, fellowship, and discernment. 16 discerners from, Brisbane, Toowoomba and Townsville wholeheartedly took part and sought to hear God's voice.

We thank Archbishop Shane Mackinlay for joining us for our closing mass and lunch. and Holy Spirit Seminary Queensland for hosting the retreat on their campus.
