Pope Leo XIV has released his first encyclical titled, 'Magnifica Humanitas'. 📖⛪

The encyclical reflects on what it means to safeguard our humanity in the age of artificial intelligence. “The ability to manipulate content, images and videos exposes people to biased or misleading perspectives. This problem has both cultural and moral dimensions, since the quality of public communication depends directly on social trust and, in turn, shapes it,” the document reads.

We welcomed two new ladies to the Meeting Place this morning for the first time - Bernadette and Helen. Our little hostess Sophie shared grapes and cheese from her lunch box with the ladies and she let us use her picnic set. 🩷 Another lovely morning was enjoyed by all.

This weekend, we celebrate the Feast of Pentecost. This is an important Feast which marks the end of the Easter season. This Feast also holds special significance for our parish priest, Fr Ravi Kumar Koyya , who belongs to the Apostolic Life Community of Priests Opus Spiritus Sancti (ALCP/OSS). We look forward to celebrating with you all this weekend.

Last night, we had the 1st gathering of our new Youth Group. The evening began with prayer followed by lively conversations, activities and pizza! This group will meet on 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. We look forward to seeing you all at our next gathering on Wednesday 3 June!
