On Sunday we offered a Guru Puja for the Long Life of Geshe Doga. Two hundred and twenty attended including many Sangha members from Dharma centres in Melbourne, Bendigo, Geelong and South Australia.
Extensive water bowl offerings have been a feature of these annual Puja offerings continuing an instruction from Lama Zopa Rinpoche for Tara Institute students requesting Geshe Doga to have a long life.
Also over the last month some twenty six students have been reciting White Tara practice and accumulating mantras dedicating to the good health and long life of our teacher Geshe Doga.
We pray Geshe Doga continues to teach and benefit us by remaining amongst us for a very long time to come.

Preparations underway for the Long Life Puja being offered to Geshe Doga tomorrow. Lots of activity with extensive offerings of water bowls, flowers, food, holy objects and decorations.
Puja is Sunday morning at 10am, if you are coming please arrive before 9.45am.

Pilgrimage to the Four Main places of the Buddha's life.
Coming up soon, Jan 1 to Jan 19 2027, great opportunity to travel around India visiting these important places with a group of like minded people.
The primary places are Lumbini (Birth), Bodhgaya (Enlightenement), Varanasi/Sarnath (first teaching) and Kushinagar (passing away).
The combination of travelling through India, going to these Holy Places, doing prayers and meditating in the places and travelling in a group of people keen to gain insight into the Buddha's life and activities is a truly unique experience.
The pilgrimage starts in Bodhgaya and travels by road (luxury coach) and air through the various places and finishes in Kathmandu. The landed cost is $2000AUD and accommodation is in premium hotels along the route.

Starting in Bodhgaya and travelling through to Kathmandu, the pilgrimage will visit Bodhgaya, Vultures peak at Rajgir, Nalanda, Sarnath (Varanasi), Kushinagar, Sravasti, Lumbini and Kathmandhu.
