Happy Sakadawa everyone.
Today we celebrated Sakadawa with a Puja attended by more than 160 people then enjoyed a lunch sponsored by Cafe Bliss.
In addition to the Puja and lunch, a group of students engaged in an all day practice session of prostrations, prayers and meditations.

The Great Stupa serves not only as a Buddhist Holy place and a centre for Buddhist events and festivals. It has also become one of the major regional Victoria tourist attractions.
Tara Institute was at the Great Stupa to assist in the visit of the Corvettes of Geelong car club to the Great Stupa. It was very interesting to see the deep impression that the Stupa itself and the Holy objects made on the visitors. The Multi Faith garden also impressed the visitors, particularly for some of the group who had visited Assisi and also the Mary Mackillop Penola centre, the statues of Mary Mackillop and St Francis Assisi were a pleasant surprise.
Even though it was a rainy and overcast day everyone enjoyed the visit and several were talking about making return trips with their families.
