Role playing today’s Gospel for our Kids Talk, with Eric playing the role of Peter who courageously walks on water towards Jesus in the midst of a storm, but forgets to keep his eyes on Jesus and starts sinking. Jesus immediately saves him after Peter calls for help. And when I asked our little boy Finn, what was the point of the story, what do we do when we feel scared, he nailed it by answering “You have to trust God!”
So, during the midst of our turbulent trials, let’s all practice gazing at Jesus who is always gazing at us, because he’s always waiting to catch us before we sink!

Our ‘Welcoming & Growing Community’ 360 Workshop led by the awesome Fiona Hammond from St Francis Theological College, was very much enjoyed by 10 parishioners alongside food & fellowship. Seeds for potential growth were sown using the 3 tiered concept of the inviting, inclusive & incarnational welcome. If anyone is interested in forming a focus group to plan the next steps in deciding what kind of Parish we want to be, please contact Rev’d Lorraine. 🪴

Lostness found in ‘third places.’

Theologically, Anglicanism charts a third way through the landscape of evangelical and catholic options: one that is not at odds with either, but nonetheless aspires, at its best, to be more than what either can offer on its own.
