🐾 A new recruit for St Mary’s, Miriam Vale? 😄

A reminder that our services at St Mary’s, Miriam Vale are now back to 4pm on the first and third Sundays of each month.

We’d love to see you tomorrow afternoon at 4pm — two-legged and four-legged visitors apparently welcome! 🐶⛪

Come and join us for a lovely service, followed by afternoon tea and plenty of time for fellowship and a chat.

Café Church is a great Sunday to invite a friend — relaxed, welcoming and a little different from our usual Sunday service.

We’d love those who have contributed to the Bargain Shop Development Project — volunteers, parishioners, businesses, suppliers and friends — to join us for a relaxed lunch as we celebrate what has been achieved together. The renewed Bargain Shop will also be open for you to have a look around.

And thanks to Neville for capturing so wonderfully how “just a small job for Sonia” became something much bigger!

Pushing boundaries, building confidence and cheering each other on! 🧗‍♂️👏

It’s been a privilege to assist Chappy Joey with the A2B program at Tannum Sands on Thursday afternoons this term.

A highlight was Challenge Week at the climbing wall at Tannum Fitness & Leisure Centre. It was great to watch the boys test themselves, push beyond what felt comfortable, and — perhaps most importantly — encourage one another to keep going.

Sometimes the biggest achievement isn’t how high you climb, but having a go and helping someone else take their next step.

A very special day is approaching for Luke Siegmeier as he prepares to be ordained Deacon in the Church of God. 🙏

The people of Boyne River Anglican offer Luke our warmest congratulations and assure him of our prayers as he takes this significant step in his journey of faith and ministry.

May God strengthen Luke for the calling ahead and give him grace to serve Christ and his people faithfully and joyfully.

What a morning at St Mary’s, Miriam Vale! 🎉⛪

A wonderful Patronal Festival as people gathered from across our parish and beyond to worship, celebrate and share brunch together.

A huge shout-out to Bishop Peter for joining us so soon after returning from General Synod, preaching and celebrating Communion with us; to Dierdre for assisting with our Communion preparations; to Nick and all our musicians who brought our music together so wonderfully; and to Janet for the beautiful flowers and preparing the church. 🎶💐

Then there was brunch! A big thank you to Bev and the Miriam Vale team for bringing it all together, and to everyone who arrived with a plate to share. ☕🍰

And what a joy to have people travel from Lowmead, Boyne Island, Tannum Sands, Benaraby, Gladstone — and even Forster!

Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a joyful celebration of St Mary and, above all, our life together in Christ. ❤️

This Sunday is a special one at St Mary’s, Miriam Vale! 🎉

We gather at 10am for our Patronal Festival, and we’re delighted to welcome Bishop Peter as our special guest, preaching and celebrating Holy Communion with us.

Bishop Peter comes to us fresh from General Synod — and, judging by the photo, he survived! 😄 More importantly, Synod this week affirmed a truth at the very heart of our faith:

“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven… by which we must be saved.” — Acts 4:12

What a wonderful note on which to gather as a church: celebrating together, welcoming our Bishop, and rejoicing in the hope and new life we have in Jesus.
