The LCA Vic-Tas District is pleased to let you know that NCLS survey funding has been secured – so your congregation can participate and hear from each other with help from the NCLS at no cost to LCANZ congregations.
The NCLS have recently posted some details to your congregation and we’d absolutely encourage you to read the information and commit to doing the survey.

Mental Health Training

Cost: $300 (for 2 days) – invoiced or paid on the day

Excellent training for ministers, supervisors, pastoral carers, chaplains, counsellors and spiritual Directors.
This course teaches participants how to provide initial support to another person who is experiencing a mental health problem or crisis, until professional help is received or the crisis resolves. Participants learn about the signs and symptoms of common mental health problems, how to recognise and respond to an emerging or worsening mental health problem, and the treatments and supports available. It provides a clear boundary.
Trainer: Marcel Koper
Marcel is both a therapist and a supervisor and can answer any curly questions, as well as spiritual based concerns.
