A reminder to parents and carers that the Uniting Kids Playgroup follows the NSW Public School holiday calendar. Our volunteers and play group staff will be enjoying a break on 29 September and 6 October while Playgroup is in recess. We will see everyone as usual on 15 & 22 September and then again commencing Tuesday 13 October!

We are in need of jam jars for our jam makers.

Mittagong jam-making ladies have been getting an abundance of donated citrus fruit, and now need additional empty jars.

We prefer 250 ml/gm to 400 ml/gm and only a few of the larger 500gm jars. No jars with plastic lids please. We have new lids in 3 sizes only and will recycle jars which new lids don’t fit – and we can sort them out. Please leave the old lids on to keep out the dust. We can remove the labels if too hard for folk.

Jars can be left on the table outside of the Bowral kitchen.

The Evening Branch of the Southern Highlands CWA has donated a number of hand-knit woolen blankets that need forever homes. We thank them and all of the organisations that support our outreach activities as their gifts are an important part of what we do. We keep in mind that giving is part of the very being of God and an essential component of Christian living.
