🧵 Sew Together – More than just sewing!

Did you know Fassifern Uniting Church hosts a fortnightly sewing and craft group called Sew Together?

We meet on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm in the church hall.

Whether you'd like to learn to sew, bring along your own sewing, knitting or craft project, or simply enjoy a cuppa and good conversation while creating something special, you'll receive a warm welcome.

As well as enjoying fellowship together, our group also supports our local community by helping prepare care satchels for people experiencing homelessness.

At the moment we're looking for donations of bottles that can be refilled to be include in these care packs. We sew a custom pocket onto each satchel so a bottle of water can be carried safely alongside the essential items inside.

If you'd like to donate, you can bring bottles of water along to:

💙 Wednesday Movement and Mobility
💙 Thursday Mulberry Bush Playgroup
💙 Sew Together on the 2nd and 4th Fridays

Every donation helps us provide practical care and compassion to someone doing it tough.

☕ Morning tea is provided – just bring your own lunch.

💙 Today we celebrate Blue Care Sunday 💙

Today marks Blue Care Sunday, a special opportunity to recognise and give thanks for the incredible work of Blue Care (formerly known to many as the Blue Nurses).

For more than 70 years, Blue Care has provided compassionate care and support to people throughout our communities. From assisting with everyday living, shopping, and home support to providing health and wellbeing services, Blue Care has made a significant difference in the lives of countless Australians, particularly here in the Fassifern region.

As we celebrate Blue Care Sunday, we also acknowledge the long and valued history of Blue Care's service within our local community and the many dedicated staff and volunteers who have cared for others with compassion and dignity over the years.

A special thank you to our wonderful Marilyn, who has once again prepared a beautiful display to commemorate this important occasion and celebrate the legacy of Blue Care and those who have faithfully served our community.

To everyone who has been part of this remarkable ministry of care—past and present—thank you. Your compassion, dedication and service have touched the lives of so many, and your contribution continues to be deeply appreciated.

Induction Service for Rev Delma Lovell

Fassifern Uniting Church warmly invites our congregation, the wider Fassifern community, and members of neighbouring churches to join us for the Induction Service of Rev Delma Lovell as she is commissioned as the new Minister of Fassifern Uniting Church.

This special service marks the beginning of Rev Delma's ministry with our church and is an opportunity to come together in worship, prayer and celebration as we welcome her into our church family.
