Appeal for Earthquake Survivors in Mindanao
Dear brothers and sisters,
Today, we invite you to keep in your hearts the people of Glan, Sarangani Province, one of the communities most affected by the recent earthquake in Mindanao. Because of damaged roads, limited services, and difficult access, many families continue to wait for assistance and support.
As Filipinos, we know the strength of bayanihan. We know that hope grows when communities come together and that even a simple act of generosity can remind someone that they are not alone.
Through CADIS Australia, our Filipino Chaplaincy of the Diocese of Parramatta and our partners on the ground, we are helping provide emergency assistance to affected families. We humbly invite you to share what you can. Every contribution, no matter the amount, becomes a tangible expression of compassion and solidarity.
Let us be instruments of God's care for our brothers and sisters in Glan. Together, let us help them rebuild not only homes and livelihoods, but also hope for the future.
Thank you for your generosity, your prayers, and your continuing concern for those in need. May God bless you abundantly.
We invite you to celebrate the Eucharist with special Mass to offer for the affected families at our Filipino Sunday Masses:
- 2nd Sunday (14 June, St. Paul the Apostle, Winston Hills)
- 3rd Sunday (21 June, Our Lady of the Way Church, Emu Plains)
- 4th Sunday (28 June, St. Michael’s Church, Blacktown, and
- 1st Sunday (5 July, Our Lady of Rosary, Kellyville)
Thank you for your prayers.
