We continued our Revelation series through chapters 12–14, looking at the very real battle for our attention, our hearts, and who we choose to follow.

Satan wants to pull us away from God. Sometimes it doesn’t take something huge to do that, distractions can pile up one small thing after another, even good things can slowly take up so much space that we don’t realise how far our attention has shifted from God.

So maybe a question for us this week: *What’s been distracting you from God lately?*

💭And what might need to change to make a little more room for Him again?

💭What areas in your life do you need to reshape so you can draw near to God and find grace and peace in Him?

Last Sunday, we heard from Harmony as she shared her first sermon with us — a vulnerable reflection on faith in the seasons where we can’t see what’s ahead. 🤍

There were some tears along the way (hers included 🥲), but perhaps that was fitting for a message about learning to bring our real desires, disappointments and unanswered prayers honestly before God.

Because faith doesn’t require us to pretend we don’t long for healing, breakthrough or change. We can keep asking. We can keep praying. We can keep hoping.

So while we pray for what we cannot yet see, may we keep seeking the God who is already here. May we learn to trust His faithfulness not only when we can look back and understand, but while we are still in the middle of the story.

📍 Welcome to our new series: Guess the Spot!

One of the things we love about our church is the neighbourhood God has placed us in.

This year marks 7 years since we began gathering at Orchard Grove Primary School (can you believe it?!) and over the years, blackburn south has become more than just a location for us, its home! 🏡

We want to encourage our church family to not only notice the beauty around us, but also to pray for our neighbourhood. Pray for the families, the schools, the local businesses, and the people who call this place home.

And as we pray, let’s also ask ourselves:
❤️How can we be a blessing to the community God has placed us in?
❤️How can we love our neighbours well?
❤️How can we be the hands and feet of Jesus here?

As a little gratitude exercise, we’ll be sharing little snapshots from around Orchard Grove here and there, stay tuned and let’s see if you can spot their locations!

This weekend is looking sunny! ☀️ How are you spending it?

We all know the feeling after a long week—you finally get to the weekend and all you want to do is stay on the couch. 😅 And i get it, sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

But before the weekend slips by, here’s a little thought...

Is there someone you haven’t spoken to in a while? Maybe it’s a friend, a family member, or someone from your futsal team.

Why not send them a message?
“Hey, how are you doing? I’ve been thinking of you.”

Maybe invite them out for a coffee. Maybe offer to pray for them. Sometimes the smallest acts of kindness become the biggest encouragements. You never know how God might use a simple conversation to remind someone that they are valued and not alone!

And if the opportunity comes up, why not invite them to join you for worship this Sunday?

Or maybe... you’re the one hoping someone would reach out.

Did uncle Vincent get the lime juice?! 🍋‍🟩🤣

Thank you to everyone who cooked, served, reheated for our ANNUAL BIG CHURCH LUNCH!!! 🫶🏻🤤 we had so much fun testing out who has the best ability to hide a sour face!🤣 It didn’t matter if we were a bit loud or if the pizza was a bit cold in the end, every plate always tasted best when it’s shared 😊

We hope you enjoyed a wonderful Sunday arvo with us, we are so grateful for our community! This was definitely one for the books and we look forward to keeping this tradition alive next winter!

We had a blast after church munching, sipping arvo tea, and sharing a short goodbye with our very own A/P Hanson! ☕️🍰❤️

Hanson is heading to Canada for 3 months to serve and work in summer camp ministries, and we’re so excited for this missional opportunity. We can’t wait to hear the stories, see how God moves, and celebrate all that He will do through this season.

We’ll definitely miss you, Hanson, but this isn’t goodbye—just a quick “see ya later!” 🇨🇦✈️🙏

Praying for safe travels, fruitful ministry, and an unforgettable adventure ahead. Go well and know we’re cheering you on from home! ❤️

3 days. 3 nights.

That’s how long it took for Jonah to realise he couldn’t run from God forever.

I wonder what Jonah was doing in the belly of the fish?

And honestly, if we think about our own lives right now, how easy is it to let 3 days pass by doom scrolling, drowning ourselves in endless entertainment, or overworking?

Maybe in our context today, running from God looks much less chaotic.

Maybe it looks like distraction.
Maybe it looks like forgetting.
Forgetting God without even noticing.

So how do we turn back?

Sometimes we’re so focused on escaping discomfort that we miss the fact God is sustaining us through it.

Maybe the place that feels hopeless right now is actually where God is trying to get your attention.

When you find yourself in deep waters, will you open your heart to God and let Him show you a grace deeper than any ocean?
