We had a blast after church munching, sipping arvo tea, and sharing a short goodbye with our very own A/P Hanson! ☕️🍰❤️

Hanson is heading to Canada for 3 months to serve and work in summer camp ministries, and we’re so excited for this missional opportunity. We can’t wait to hear the stories, see how God moves, and celebrate all that He will do through this season.

We’ll definitely miss you, Hanson, but this isn’t goodbye—just a quick “see ya later!” 🇨🇦✈️🙏

3 days. 3 nights.

That’s how long it took for Jonah to realise he couldn’t run from God forever.

I wonder what Jonah was doing in the belly of the fish?

And honestly, if we think about our own lives right now, how easy is it to let 3 days pass by doom scrolling, drowning ourselves in endless entertainment, or overworking?

Maybe in our context today, running from God looks much less chaotic.

Maybe it looks like distraction.
Maybe it looks like forgetting.
Forgetting God without even noticing.

So how do we turn back?

Sometimes we’re so focused on escaping discomfort that we miss the fact God is sustaining us through it.

Maybe the place that feels hopeless right now is actually where God is trying to get your attention.

When you find yourself in deep waters, will you open your heart to God and let Him show you a grace deeper than any ocean?

MOTHERS, GRANDMOTHERS, SPIRITUAL MOTHERS, SISTERS, FRIENDS…!!!
This Sunday, we celebrate all the incredible women in our lives! Those who have nurtured, guided, and loved us so faithfully, we honour you ❤️

We acknowledge that this special day can feel beautiful for some and tender for others, we pray that our church would be a place of comfort and hope and that this is a place for longing and grief too.

We look forward to worshiping together as a family, see you very soon 🌱

Sometimes the hardest part of sharing the Gospel isn’t crossing oceans or going to another physical location, it’s crossing the boundaries in our own hearts.

Jonah ran because Nineveh was filled with people he didn’t want to love, forgive, or see redeemed by God. And if we’re honest, we’ll realise sometimes we struggle the same way. God often calls us beyond our comfort zones, past our prejudices and biases into places where we’re challenged to love people first.

So perhaps, we should ask ourselves “Who’s your Nineveh?”
Is there a person or people group you’ve discriminated against, avoided, or struggled to care for?

Ask God to transform your heart so you can love others the way He loves us ❤️

🌏 May Mission Month is here!

In this month of MAY, we’re setting our focus on what it means to live with a missional heart both globally and right where we are. This year, we are so excited to be sending a team to Hiroshima, Japan to support our mission partner. During this preparation, we’re reminded that mission isn’t just a place we go… it’s a way we live every day.

Whether across the world or the street, every one of us is called to be a witness of Jesus, so let’s step into May together with mission on our minds!

In another news, we are also starting a new SERMON SERIES on JONAH! We will explore God’s heart for people, his call to go, and what happens when we run the other way. Because the truth is, you can’t outrun God’s mission forever…you might just find yourself swallowed up in it 🐋

So don’t “fish” for excuses guys… come on Sundays at 10:30am for a cuppa and mingle with friends, no better way to start off this series than worshipping God together!

February is a WRAP can you believe it?!?!
The past month we explored genesis, topics of hope and grief, dedicated a bunch of babies 👶🏻, and shared in beautiful moments of worship and prayer 🙏🏻❤️ Our hearts are full reflecting upon the goodness of God and all the lessons learnt this month.

I pray that today you will find a moment to reflect and pray expectantly for the month of March! Lots are happening as we prepare our hearts for EASTER! (Yes, it’s only a month away!!!) keep your eyes peeled for updates and community hang outs 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
