St Agnes` Black Rock Parish Council last night decided that, in light of community support and the arrival of new worshippers, this church will continue into 2027 and beyond. Thanks to everyone who has shown support, and praise be to God. We hope that with some new initiatives this will be the turning point to a bright future. As always, it is people that we will most need. All welcome Sundays at 10am.

St Agnes has four additional services in the coming four days to keep Holy Week. 7pm Maundy Thursday, 10am and then noon to 3pm on Good Friday, and 6.15am on Easter Day.

Very important in terms of Giving St Agnes a Future will be the 10am service on Easter Day, when we hope to boost our Sunday average attendance much closer to our target of 30. If a hundred attended, it would be a squeeze, but it would encourage the Parish Council as they decide about St Agnes' future on 22 April.

The financial generosity of the Black Rock community has been fantastic (25k) - what we lack now us sufficient Sunday attenders. Please help Give St Agnes' a Future. All welcome.

Last night (Wed 4 Feb) 94 people attended a community meeting at St Agnes to hear about 'Giving St Agnes a Future'. Laurie Evans chaired. The St Agnes treasurer, another Parish Council member, Neighbourhood Watch Chair Phil Lovel, Bayside Mayor Cr Debbie Taylor-Haynes and area Bishop Paul Barker each presented. There were many questions, especially about how changes to land tax exemptions have particularly impacted St Agnes now letting its residence. Over 29 people asked to become Friends of St Agnes and so receive updates. There were other encouraging responses, including financial and membership responses.
