Our wonderful community member, Michael Aliotta, has been recognised in the local paper and by MP Russell Field this week for his 16 years of dedicated service keeping the children in our community safe as a Lollipop Man. What an incredible contribution he has made over the years. Thank you for all that you do, Michael. Keep up the amazing work.

🚸 Birkdale South State School crossing guard marks 16 years of service!

I had the privilege of congratulating long-standing crossing guard, Michael Aliotta who, as of yesterday, marks 16 years of service at Birkdale South State School.

Born in Sicily and now a Birkdale resident of around two decades, Michael has faithfully served as a friendly face, helping students and their families safely cross roads each school day.

Michael's commitment to keeping our kids safe and his genuine care to the community is something we should all be grateful for.

On behalf of our community, thank you Michael, for your years of service and the care you show local families every single day.

Bells in the Bayside
This Saturday night Christmas will be brighter and ring out for our community.
