Hi Everyone,
Unfortunately, with a few things happening in the background and some people away over the next two weeks, Katie has decided to put a two-week break on launching Recovery Church.
Recovery Church will officially begin on Tuesday Oct 22nd at 6:30pm.
There will be no church services at Berwick Salvos between now and then.
Enjoy your time with family and friends or if you wish to attend a Salvation Army Service in the meantime, all are welcome to join Cranbourne Corps at 10am or Pakenham Corps at 12:30pm each Sunday.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact Katie.

Hi Everyone,
For those of you that weren’t at church on Sunday and haven’t heard,
From Oct 6, about a month away, Berwick Salvos will move our Sunday service to Tuesday nights.

So that’s a service each Tuesday night instead of Sunday.
The Tuesday night will take the form of a Community Meal followed by a relaxed church service.
The church service will be based on a model called ‘Recovery Church’.

Recovery Church is a supportive community that helps people grow, through a meaningful spiritual experience that impacts their life and their recovery, whether that recovery is from addictive substances, poor health or life situations that we all experience.
The format of the service is similar to what we have been doing lately on Sundays, discussing topics and questions.

Why the change?
- Over recent years our church has had a heart to support people in addiction and there is still a big need to do this in the Casey-Cardinia area.
- Numbers on Sunday are declining.
- It enables our new officer, Katie, to be here for each service.
- The decision was made by the Salvos Victorian Leadership and announced in church on Sunday.

Why can’t we do both?
We simply don’t have the resources. We are already spread thin and the decision was made to go for Tuesday night instead of Sunday.

So come on down and enjoy a meal and Recovery Church with us, each Tuesday from October 8.
(Last Sunday Service will be on Oct 6)

If you have any questions or concerns feel free to post them here or contact Katie, Colin or anyone from the leadership team directly.
