Winepress Open House

Hey everyone, this week we are running an Open House communion meal! Looking forward to gathering again after a long time. We are going to meet at 5pm Sunday 10th July for this communion reflection and meal. Thanks to Kirsten Fletcher for doing food for us. All welcome!

We are not ready yet to return as a regular service but are looking to begin doing one off gatherings again.

Hi everybody, some important news to share about the Open House services. With Winepress getting ready to move into our new building in the first weeks of April we are going to take this opportunity to put the Open House services on hold for a time. This is to allow us to all gather together again as a whole church and support the transition. Ange and I are especially keen to help build community around the larger gatherings and I hope you all are too!

We will hopefully have a better idea of how Open House fits into Winepress and the community after this time and can come back afresh.

Hello everyone! Excited to be back this week and especially to have Derek Tucker and Esther Tucker sharing with us on missions and their upcoming stay in Thailand. Really hope you can join in, we will begin at 5:30 with a BBQ. Thanks to all those who are helping to put this service together :)

Hi all, we've loved getting back into Saturday night Open House services with you all. It has been great to have some new people come along. Just a reminder that we will be off this week as it is the first weekend of the month. We encourage you to get along to the Sunday service.

We are looking to establish Wednesday prayer as a regular part of the Open House community, we will be gathering this week at the Young's house to pray and to think about the month ahead. Contact Steve Young directly if you would like to come!

We want to pray for
- The launch of the Saturday service this week, that God would clearly speak through it and those who need to come in will be welcomed in
- Regen which is still in the Groundwork phase, that those coming would catch the heart of it and be ready to surrender themselves to Christ in the process
- Those who are part of the Open House community, especially Derek and Esther who will finally be able to make it back to Thailand.
- For those preaching the gospel in Muslim nations, that they would have courage of the spirit of God. That he would be with them to shape their words and give them wisdom. For dreams and visions and touches of God

As Steve shared at our first night back for term 1, we are excited to invite you all on the journey with us as our community grows in fellowship with one another and are built up as we seek God together.

As a part of this, we would love to have you all on-board with us, helping to facilitate our services across their varying avenues.

Under the heading each week, are the available opportunities to serve and help grow Winepress Open House as we seek to reach our community. Each time we gather there will be an assigned 'Point Person' who will be responsible for helping manage the mini-team for that particular week. They will be responsible for following up with their team for that week, helping answer questions and fill-in any gaps that may appear.

Please note, this link has 'commenter' level permissions only, meaning that any additions made to the roster must be approved by an admin, but dont worry! This is to help us keep the ball rolling smoothly.

Hi all,

We are looking forward to relaunching Saturday night Open House services on Saturday 12th, we hope you can join us. In the meantime we are looking to establish a regular connection point on Wednesday evenings. Sometimes we hope to be able to gather in person for prayer at other times we will just encourage you to be praying for each other as part of the Winepress Open House community and for the larger Winepress Church. We will look to do this in person next week on the 9th Feb, but this week we will just encourage you to be taking some time in prayer tomorrow night. Know that Ange and I and others will be praying for all of you, please feel free to post anything you would like prayer for underneath.

From my reading this week I’d like to encourage you to read Psalm 118 and think about all that was meant when they cried out “Hosanna, Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord” as Jesus entered Jerusalem.

I’d also like you to be praying for:
• The transition for the whole church as we return to a full program and also prepare to go into our newly renovated building
• That the Open House services would build up both a committed community and be an inviting space for those who are outside of church.
• That the Holy Spirit would be speaking afresh to all of us as we seek God
• For Jaimiella and Dan who are beginning married life together!

Welcome to our Saturday Open House community page. This page will hopefully be a platform to help us interact and grow together. Thanks to Ryan Howell for the set up.
Right now it will have 3 main purposes.
1. To hold all information about Saturday service Open House gatherings & contain any shared resources
2. To provide a space for organising and sharing responsibilities for the Saturday service.
3. To encourage you to pray for each other and the larger church once a week on Wednesday (once we begin)
