The service on the first Sunday of the month is usually a Communion Service. We are a small, strong church with a strong community service focus. We have a particular emphasis o

n programs aimed at people in the third age. Activities include Berry Community Library, Coffee and Friends, Berry Computers for Seniors and Berry "Social Craft" Group. We also have a strong social justice heart and have campaigned for climate justice, refugee justice and justice for the First Peoples in recent years, among other issues. We are a member of the Australian Religious Response to Climate Change (ARRCC) and the Kiama & South Coast Group of ARRCC. We have been strong supporters of Rural Australians for Refugees Shoalhaven since its inception in September 2016. We gave birth to, and still have a strong association with, Berry Men's Shed.

People of many faiths gathered at Kiama Uniting Church to sing to show that we support an international treaty to phase out fossil fuels. People of all faiths are coming together to call for this ahead of the first ever global summit on phasing out fossil fuels in Colombia on April 28 and 29. We want the Australian government to send a delegation to this crucial summit. Please sign up here to join with faith communities all over the world and show your support for this Treaty.

We sing “Were you there” to draw attention to the fact that faith communities want a fossil fuel treaty.
FAITHS FOR A FOSSIL FREE FUTURE MULTI-FAITH LETTER
We call on world leaders to enact a Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty that will:
 End the expansion of new coal, oil, and gas production immediately
 Phase out existing fossil fuel production fairly, with wealthy nations leading this transition
 Implement a just transition to renewable energy for all, ensuring affected communities and workers are actively engaged, supported, and heard.

Stations of the Resurrection Art Show
Beginning this week, visit the side fence of our car park to experience artist Scott Erickson’s “Stations of the Resurrection.”
Scott Erickson's "Stations of the Resurrection" art show is a contemplative experience designed for all kinds of communities during the Easter season. The show includes 14 evocative images that reflect the premise that resurrection changes the way you see everything. Each station draws from the resurrection story and invites viewers into a change of perspective, affecting both the followers of Jesus then and those now.
Artist Statement
According to the scriptures, nothing seemingly changed in the world on the day that Jesus rose from the grave. Rome didn’t stop being in power. The religious leaders who asked for a crucifixion didn’t lose their jobs. It took a while before the followers of Jesus stopped hiding for their lives in a room together. It was all very small at first. So small that you’d think it wasn’t any kind of event at all.
